A/N – Y/C/N is your character name.

"Time doesn't take away from friendship, nor does separation." – Tennessee Williams.

Y/N POV

"Holy Shit, Y/N," Chris yells as he jumps back, nearly falling to the ground as the trailer door swings open, slamming the side of the trailer.

"Oh, my god," I yelled, startled, bringing my hand to my chest as if to try and physically slow my racing heartbeat from that jump scare forcibly. "Shit, sorry, Evans."

"Clearly, your power of invisibility also extends off-screen." He jokes as I stop the trailer door as it swings back towards me. Chris is also clutching his chest, trying to regain his composure.

"Just trying to get into character." I chuckle, "But nothing like a little jump scare to get the adrenaline going in the morning. Eh, Evans?" I say as I step out of the trailer.

Chris laughs as he walks over, pulling me into a hug. We hadn't seen each other since the premiere of Civil War. "Way better to wake up call than coffee. You are here earlier than normal. How are you?"

I pull out of his embrace and notice he's wearing his new Captain America suit. It looks similar to the suit he wore in Civil War, but the star on his chest is blacked out, there is no Avengers A symbol anywhere, and everything else looks warn and dishevelled.

"Yeah, I've got early morning wire testing and set up before the whole shoot starts, but I'm good," I lie, but when I say it makes me almost believe it. We lock eyes, and it is the first time I notice his short beard. The short beard brings out his blue eyes and maturity more. Something about his beard and how he stands in front of me makes my heart race and skip a beat. How does he make my gay ass heart skip a beat? Maybe this is the effect Ryan Reynolds has on straight men. "How are you?"

"Great," he says as a bright warm and charming smile explodes. "I heard your new song on the radio four times on the way here. It's amazzzing! Why didn't you tell us you were releasing new music?"

I can tell Evans is genuinely excited for me, but there is some hurt in his eyes that I didn't tell any of them. Since we have always been close, I'd always tell the original Avengers that I was releasing new music. I chuckle lightly, trying to laugh it off, "Ha-ha, I'm Sorry. Taylor and I wanted to get it released as soon as possible. I'm hoping the media storm will back off a little."

"I get it, but you may want to talk to Scar. She's pretty hurt you guys haven't talked in a while." Chris says as he walks closer to the trailer door, placing his hand on the handle and looking back at me.

"Yeah, I'll talk to her, but I'm needed on set." I give him the best smile I can muster before I take off. "I'll see you on set." I wave bye to him as he steps into the trailer.

Scarlett POV

🎵 AND THEN I HOPE SHE CHEATS
LIKE YOU DID ON ME
🎵

That's the third time I've heard Y/N and Taylor's song on the radio as I drive to set. Regardless I love it and can't get enough, but I can feel the pain in Y/N's voice as she sings every verse. Why didn't she tell me Katie cheated on her? We've been trying to keep our friendship low-key, but it's as if she's cut all ties. We've barely talked, and even when I message her, she'll give me a few replies and then radio silence for a few days. I've talked to Chris at length about it, and he keeps saying to talk to her, but every time we do, it's as if there is this barrier she's put up between us. Seeing her in person may change it.
