OLIVIA'S POV.

I'm really doing this.
I'm really doing this...

My throat clogs up as my heartbeat races... spanning over my memory of the last few days.
The last few days of torture...
The last few days of agonizing fear, panic and anxiety.

The threatening notes he pinned to my walls.
The endless calls of him just...breathing.

And then the pictures... those horrible, awful pictures he left on my doorstep with the bloodied handprints on the corners...

I choke down my sobs as I force my attention back to the shocking paper in my hand.
What other choice did I have?
New job.

New location.

New start.

"You cannot let him get to you." Gabby had said, grasping my shoulders while I trembled in fear with tears running down my cheeks.

"Do you hear me? You cannot let this asshole scare you like this, Liv! You have to do this, you have to go!"

"I can't, Gabby. I can't." I had told her in sobs, on my knees in the bathroom, staring at the pictures.

"Yes, you can. And you will!"
And I did.

Miles away from my little apartment in New York. With hotels and flight tickets already paid for --both arriving and returning tickets--, I had to leave. I had to jump on this opportunity... as scary and impossible as it may be.

To see if it was real.

If the real Raphael Castillo had actually reached out to me by obtaining my email through my LinkedIn profile, to be his stay-at-home nurse and care giver.

I draw my gaze from the clouds outside the plane window to look back at the official invite to an interview which I had printed out just for the sake of having physical proof. Because how bizarre and random is it that the owner of a billion-dollar company reached out to me of all people to be his nurse and caregiver? CASTACKS is known globally for their constructions of skyscrapers and bridges, along with production of their own electronics including cell phones, laptops, kitchen appliances and so much more. Raphael Castillo was the first and sole CEO of the company, building it from the ground up, until leaving his company in the hands of his only son and heir, Leonardo Castillo.

That was all I knew of them, excluding the dating life and playboy reputation of his son, Leonardo, which my roommate Gabrielle practically shoved down my throat.

I'm going to miss her...

"Ladies and Gentlemen this is your captain speaking. We are about to commence landing into Massachusetts, so can all passengers please return to their seats and fasten their seat-belts until a safe landing has occurred. We hope you have enjoyed your flight with us and thank you, for choosing Fly Emirates."

The seatbelt sign comes on immediately and I fasten my seatbelt, fold the official papers back into my bag and turn my gaze back to the window where the magical view once again calms my pacing heart and worrying mind.

It's the perfect job... with the perfect timing.
And I'd be a fool to say no.
****

After the plane lands, I get my luggage and make my way through the airport until I spot two tall, dark-haired men dressed completely in quality suits. One of them is speaking into his Bluetooth phone while the other is holding a sign that makes me realize how real this is.

MISS OLIVIA WASHINGTON

The sign has my name spelt out in bold letters and I just stop and stare at the men, my heart racing.
