Maru: we've um.. We started two minutes ago, Haley
Haley: ugh, you couldn't have waited until I finished my mascara?
Maru: What did you think I was counting fo- you know what never mind let's just start. Have you noticed anything strange about the new farmer?
Haley: well , yeah. They're super weird.
Maru: do you have any specific examples you could describe?
Haley: [pauses to put mascara brush back} Every day except Mondays I go and sit by the fountain next to the old community center. I sometimes see the farmer go in there, holding the most random of things above their head. When they exit, whatever they were holding is gone.
Maru: can you describe some of the items they bring in there?
Haley: fish, gems, crops, and one time I saw them bring a pile of cash in there. I tried going in there once, but none of the things they brought in were there, just a bunch of books.
Maru: Books? What were written in them?
Haley: A bunch of weird symbols.
Maru: okay, is there anything else?
Haley: There was only one book in each room, like they were arranged in a certain way. There was even one for the hallway, nailed to the bulletin board.
Maru: Okay, thank you Haley. This has been very helpful.
