I pressed on the small piece of light purple flesh. "Fuck." I winced. The bruise wasn't too nasty, it just hurt like a bitch.

I didn't even remember how I got it. Everything from last night was a major blur. I vaguely remembered getting in a fight with Leilani and then walking home in the rain. I didn't even remember it raining. I made the assumption based on the fact that the clothes I woke up in were wet.

Luckily I didn't get sick, I just got stuck with a bruise on my hip. It was a minor injury for a terrible decision. I should've never gone to the party with Leilani. I didn't even know what we had a fight over, I just knew that I felt angry about it.

The doorbell rang, bringing my attention to the present rather than the events of the night prior.

I pulled my shirt down so that it covered my torso and exited my bathroom.

I didn't know who was at the door but it was someone I would never have expected.

"Rosalie?" I rubbed my eyes to see if I was hallucinating.

"After last night I decided to come see you. I couldn't stay away anymore." Rosalie said timidly. She looked a bit awkward just standing on my doorstep.

"Do you want to come in?" I stepped aside so that Rosalie could come inside.

"Is your dad here? I got something for him-" I grabbed the bag out of Rosalie's hand and set it to the side. "Blythe."

I pulled Rosalie closer to me by her hips with a smile on my face. I gently wrapped my hand around her neck and pulled her close enough to touch my lips.

Rosalie leaned forward the rest of the way until our lips touched.

"I've been waiting for that," I mumbled as we pulled away. Rosalie didn't speak. She just kissed me again, this time lightly pressing her tongue against my bottom lip. I opened my mouth to her and she slipped her tongue inside.

My grip on her neck got tighter as her grip on my hip got tighter. I moaned into the kiss due to Rosalie's cold fingertips pressing on my bruise.

Rosalie pulled away a little confused. She tilted her head to the side. She put her hand under my chin and gently pulled my bottom lip down. "What is that?"

"What?" I asked.

"You got your tongue pierced?" Rosalie gently but firmly squeezed the sides of my mouth, causing it to open up. She realized what she was doing and immediately released me. "Sorry, I didn't realize."

I laughed. "It's fine." I stuck out the tip of my tongue so she could see the piercing. "Does it bother you when we kiss?"

"Not at all the temperature difference feels nice." She bit her lip. "It looks great on you."

"Really?" I blushed.

I had heard that from a number of different people, but hearing it from Rosalie made my heart flutter. I remembered that I had set Rosalie's bag to the side. Knowing her it was a bunch of gifts. "Are those for me?"

"Yeah. And for your father and your sisters. I didn't really think anything through when I booked my plane ticket. All I know is that I planned to whisk you away and bribe everyone in your absence." Rosalie laughed. She grabbed the bag and opened it. Revealing a few different things.

I was mainly focused on the fact that Rosalie had planned to take me somewhere. I didn't really care where we were going. I was immediately excited.

The only problem was that I had to wait a while before I went anywhere.
