"George! I got it! Let's go!" Fred yells while coming out of his dorm and into the common room.
You look over at Lee who is sitting across from you and give him a concerned glance.
"What do they have planned this time?" he asks you.
"Wish I knew," you respond, watching the boys excitedly exit.
"Should we go supervise?" Lee asks.
"Good idea," you say, getting up and catching up with them.
Fred and George hear you and Lee's footsteps coming toward them and immediately pivot on their heels to stop you.
"No, no, no, you guys are not coming," Fred says, stopping in his tracks.
"Come on, you always let us be involved, why is it any different this time?" Lee asks.
"Now I know you don't actually like being involved in our pranks," George says, wondering how Lee could care that he isn't involved.
"Well I like the pranks, I just don't like the repercussions," Lee responds defensively.
"But come on guys, why not?" you ask.
"You two have too much potential. We can't drag you into our pranks anymore." Fred says awkwardly, looking at George for help.
"Yes, yes, you are very...good students. We can't have you getting detention again," George adds, still trying to make up an excuse.
After several moments of you and Lee staring at the boys in front of you, they finally crack.
"Ugh fine, it's just that this time it isn't really a prank," Fred admits.
"Ginny has been upset for weeks and we have to cheer her up. It's kind of a last-minute plan but as her older brothers we feel obligated to help," George explains.
You and Lee look at each other for a second and then back at Fred and George.
"So what's the plan?" you ask.
"Fur."
"Boils."
"Fur and boils? That's all you could come up with?" you ask them.
"Who doesn't want to see us covered in fur and boils?" Fred asks jokingly.
"As Ginny's friend, I believe I have the duty to stop this."
Fred and George exchange a concerning look and nod. And before you knew it they had thrown you and Lee into the broom closet just a few feet away.
"Guys!" Lee yells as they lock the closet from the outside.
"Sorry! But we have to make Ginny happy, she's insufferable when she's in a bad mood," George says from the other side of the door.
"Hey, at least we get to lock them in a closet, that in itself is my favorite thing we've done yet," you hear Fred say through his echoing laugh down the hall.
"Hey!" you yell although they are too far away to hear you now.
You and Lee stand in silence for a couple of moments until you hear footsteps coming down the corridor. Both of you immediately start yelling and hitting the door to grab the person's attention.
"Help! We're in here!" Lee yells.
The footsteps pause and come in your direction.
"Alohomora."
When the door opens, you look up to see Seamus Finnigan standing there looking at you in pure confusion.
"Thanks" is all that comes out when you open your mouth.
