"Please be honest." I sat hopefully. Waiting on the verdicts of the little doughnut sandwich I'd this morning in and amongst my panic. Accidentally I might add. I make doughnuts every now and then and for some reason this morning I thought they were bagels and cut 6 up before I realised they were indeed doughnuts. So, I filled them with cream and strawberries, drizzled some chocolate ganache I had over the top and voila, dessert!
I kept my eyes focused on Fin sat opposite me, his foot wrapped around mine, looking up at me with huge eyes.
"No these are so good Rory." I looked down at Gus as he devoured his, covering himself in mess as he did. "You made them accidentally?"
"Well, cut the doughnuts accidentally. Then filled them." He nodded.
"It's a little cream heavy for me Ror." Zoe turned to me. "It's missing something."
"The fresh Strawberries in it are great Aurora." Moira added. "Definitely needs something else though. Give it another go. They're good, you'll get there." I nodded.
This is why I brought my little ideas here. They were always beyond honest with me, they never said something just to make me feel better. Not when it came to thing like this. It was always intentional. Always to improve on and it was never harsh.
"Okay. Who's washing up? Rory mad dessert, Griffin cooked so comes down to you two." Moira looked at August and Zoe.
"Not it."
"Not it- OH COME ON!" Zoe pouted. "Fine, I'll wash but you can dry and put away."
"No way!"
"Are you two arguing?" Moira raised an eyebrow. "Because I will lock you both in here until it's done." I chuckled at the thought. Zoe would probably kill Gus before the key turned all the way in the lock. "I'm heading down to the shop because we are out of milk. Rory, don't leave until I get back."
"And leave these two to murder each other? Not going to happen." Moira disappeared out the back door, Zoe and Gus busy shouting at each other over the washing up.
"Ror." I looked up from my day dream, Fin's sweet face nodding his head towards the hallway before standing up and walking out. He stood in the hallway cheeky little smirk on his face as I stood up.
"Where you going Rory?" Zoe smirked.
"To pee. Do I need your permission or something?" She turned her head and rolled her eyes, little laugh as I walked through the door, closing it behind me.
"Do you really need to pee?"
"No."
"Good." Fin grabbed my hand, pulling me with urgency up the stairs and into his room, pushing me up against the closed door. "Did you enjoy your little rant for my mum?" He leaned down, pulling my thighs up until I wrapped my legs around his waist. "Because I think you're a liar."
"I am not." I scowled.
"Oh no? Pure little dove that had no issue with me putting my hand between her thighs with family in the room next door?" He used his face to turn my head, kissing my jaw quickly before returning to my ear. "You are not." I smiled, Fin pulling his head back as I turned to him. "Are you?"
"No."
"So, why'd you say I was?"
"Because the whole town thinks I am. I'd rather not ruin that. Also, I'd rather not openly tell your mother about my sex life thank you."
"I should hope not." He turned my head back, kissing down my neck. "Not after what I'm going to do to you after that little performance." He pulled us back from the door, sliding his lock on before moving us over to his bed. "You're going to be quiet aren't you?"
"Here? Now?" He nibbled at the skin on my neck and I bit down on my lip to keep me quiet. "Fin."
"We don't have to if you don't want to Ror. I'm perfectly happy just making out with you right now." He laid me down into his pillows, keeping himself between my legs. "Your pace Rory."
"Not here." He nodded. "Can we slow it down a little? I'm still working on us being a thing."
"Of course. You want to stop and just talk?"
"With kisses?" He smiled, pulling out of my legs and collapsing down next to me.
"I'm never going to turn down kissing you babe." He kissed me quickly. "Those doughnuts were amazing. You made them?"
"No. Bought them from an old Netto. Found them under the fridge. Yes. Of course, I made them you twat." He pushed his hands under my jumper, laying them against my back as he pulled me closer. His arm laid flat against the bed under my neck.
"Alright attitude. Carry on."
"Well, it's a stupid question. Did you make them? Of course, I did dummy." He rolled, using his elbow to keep me tightly in place. Fin wrapped a leg over me, pulling my tiny frame against his. He swamped me. I didn't think I was a particularly small person. Average height for sure. But under him, I felt tiny. I liked it. Something about this giant of a man making me feel tiny in his grasp made my stomach flutter. It was brilliant.
"They need jam or something. High sugar. It's cream and doughnut. You can't really taste the berries." I nodded. "I don't know what I'm saying."
"No, it's good. You're right. I can make some tomorrow for our trip?" He smiled. "I'll need to pack tonight."
"Me too. How about I come over a little later? If you guys normally leave here at like half 8? I can come over like 10 ish?"
"I have to be up for Gus in the morning."
"I know. I'll do what I did today. Maybe we will actually make it to eat today."
"Shoot. Yeah. You brought me food."
"I did. Did you eat after I left?"
"I went for a drive and got something from the chip shop up by the lake."
"The Lake?"
"Mhm. I go up there when I need to clear my head a little. No one really goes up there through the week. Not the north car park anyway." He kissed me again, only quick before laying back down and pulling his phone out of his pocket.
"Okay. Let's find a little cabin somewhere. You need more than a stop by the lake to have a break Ror."
"I'm fine now. It was just you and Jamie and everything else all at once."
"What did I do?"
"You kissed me." I looked up at him through my eyebrows. "You complicated everything."
"I didn't complicate it."
"Yes you did. I wasn't even thinking of you like that until you tried to kiss me at the park."
"You didn't stop me."
"I know. Because you complicated it."
"What was complicated about it? You didn't stop me because you wanted me to kiss you. Even if you weren't thinking it, you did. If you didn't you'd have told me Rory. Just like you did when I laid you down here. You didn't want to and you outright said no. You didn't do that on Wednesday because you wanted it as much as I did. I didn't complicate anything. I made your brain realize what it wanted."
"Maybe I'm just touch starved."
"Not while I'm here you won't be." He shuffled closer.
"You're leaving soon. Then what do I do?"
"I'll get you a giant teddy bear that looks like me."
"No."
"Why not?!"
"That is the creepiest thing I could ever think of in my whole life. What do I do when I'm not using it? Have a life size version of you in my closet? Like that's not something a stalker would have."
