"Bye,mom!" Gumball said waving to his mother in the car at the mall entrance.
"See you later! I'll text you when I'm ready to pick you up!" Nicole said driving away.
Gumball happily walked into the mall,he pulled out his phone and texted Penny.
G-ball :HEYYYY 😛😛 I'm here! where are u??
PeacePenny : In the diner! 😋😋🍔🍔🍟🍴
Gumball skipped to the diner across the mall and entered the premises. "Penny! How are you feeling?"
"I'm doing fine,Gumball." Penny gave him a kiss on the head "Let's go sit and eat" She said.
Gumball and Penny both ordered food then Gumball started to talk about [Y/N]...like he always do.
"Then [Y/N] was drew a funny picture that made me laugh next me her and Darwin played in the rain. It was a fun day. So what do you want to talk about?"
"Gumball,we should take a break from each other." Penny said.
Gumball raised an eyebrow while drinking soda. "Haha,that's funny I thought I heard you say we should break up."
"Because... I did." Penny said sadly.
"W-Why?" Gunter said getting anxious.
"I know you like [Y/N] the way you like me. It's really obvious!"
Gumball started to blush. "That's-that's not true! Me and her are just friends."
"Left pocket." Penny said smiling.
"What?" Gumball asked confused.
"The mask from the dance. It's in your left pocket."
Gumball,embarrassed took out the mask from his left pocket and place it on the table. Penny let out small giggle.
"We can still be there for each other,but I think you and [Y/N] are requited lovers and she needs you right now."
"Penny..." Gumball said sadly.
Gumball was confused,he thought him and Penny were soulmates! Destiny has placed together for a reason right?
"I thought we were..."
"Soulmates? We are! Just in a platonic sense,We can still be friends and do stuff together! We can still have each other's back in a dangerous situation! Gumball..." Penny explained.
She gave his hand a comforting squeeze,Gumball looked up at her with teary eyes.
"From the moment you mentioned that "mystery girl" that dance with you,I knew it was [Y/N]. Then when I asked her the next day...I'm sure if I should say this but...that girl is [Y/N]." Penny said laughing.
Gumballs eyes widened in shock,Darwin wasn't lying.
"She wanted to dance with you because she didn't want you to be sad. Gumball,whether we are together or apart,we are still soulmates! Look at me,Gumball..." Penny said.
Gumball looked at Penny with tears.
"I'm not mad,upset or jealous! I'm happy for you. Go to her." Penny said.
Gumball wiped away his tears,he was still confused but slightly understood Penny. [Y/N] was dear to him and he had to go to her.
"Platonic soulmates?" Penny said holding out her pinky.
"Heh. Platonic soulmates! I actually feel better!" Gumball said.
"So what do you want to do?" Penny asked him.
"Maybe we could get a sundae for the road then maybe we could hit the arcade– Oh! How about the clothing store?" Gumball said very quickly.
Penny smile then laughed "Anything you need Gumball." She said.
After the small adventure,Gumball felt different still sad that he wasn't dating Penny anymore but he still cared about her. Now how was he gonna win over [Y/N]?
Gumball and Penny were walking through the parking garage where his mom was waiting.
"Feeling better?" Penny asked him.
"Way better,actually! But now how am I gonna whoo over [Y/N]?" Gumball asked himself.
"Do you what you do best." Penny suggested.
"Yeahhhh. Thanks Penny!" Gumball said getting into car.
Penny waved goodbye and went her separate ways not knowing that someone was watching them from a far.
"NO,NO,NO! He's supposed to be sad and weeping like a little child and on his knees– Damn it!" Rob said stomping his feet.
"Sorry to interrupt you kid,that will be fifteen dollars." Said the man from the red van waiting from some cash.
"Fifteen dollars this!" Rob said.
He pressed a button on a remote which caused the van man to contort violently until they vanished into thin air.
Rob slammed the door van and walked away innocently. He then pull up a small monitor which showed Gumball and his mother talking happily.
"Mark my words Watterson,I'll destroy you and everyone you love."
