Ewkiro made a mad dash for the water, dragging Swiriya along with her.
"Ma'Kiro stop- slow down" Swiriya almost yelled out as she was being pulled along, feeling her feet slip in the sand, dangerously close to falling, she yelped, shutting her eyes as she was finally met with the heated embrace of sand.
"Swiriya what- oh- Oh- pfff-" Ewkiro looked at her for a second, before covering her mouth and starting to absolutely choke laughing, Swiriya, who was laying face down in the sand groaned, standing up and spitting sand out of her mouth. Na'vi that where flaoting above water looking at her weirdly"
" 'ts not funny" Her voice was wonky from her wiping at her tongue furiously, trying to get sand off, glaring at Ewkiro who was still absolutely laughing her ass off, hands on thighs and eyes tearing, Ewkiro reached a hand up to wipe her tears, still chuckling, before Swiriya swatted it away.
"Shut up" Swiriya grumbled, walking towards the water, Ewkiro looked at her, eyes squinted and face still contorted from laughter.
"You looked- you looked like a grumpy child-"
"Kiro." Swiriya glared at her, not with full, seething anger but with just enough to make Ewkiro simmer down just to tiny snickers, both finally walking up to the water.
Ewkiro dove in, literally, her hands where stretched above her head in a downwards v position and she looked ethereal in the small moment Swiriya could swear time stopped, Ewkiro came out of the shallow water, her hair slicked back and body glistening with water, Swirya could feel the red budding at her ears, looking afar to avoid staring at her mate, it felt so good to call her her mate, other people knowing she was hers by the way Swiriya would look at anyone who looked at her wrong, even when she was breaking her back laughing at Swiriya she still looked like a handpicked angel, selected by Eywa meant for her and only her, Swiriya grinned, looking at her mate, not hearing her name being called.
"Yawne!" Swiriya shook her head, embarrassed at the thoughts gracing her head, a light flush coating her nose and cheeks, making Ewkiro chuckle and look at her, confused.
"Join me, come on!" Ewkiro splashed the water towards her, making Swiriya jump back.
"Kiro- do i have to-" She was cut off by a cool and wet hand grabbing her wrist, pulling her into the water, bubbles floated from her mouth and for a few seconds she panicked, her heartrate picking up.
Then the panic passed, looking around, at what she could see she saw beautiful scenery, fish, corals of every sort and plants she wouldnt dare put a name to, her eyes widened in wonder, turning her head to fully take in the beauty of the underwater, she heard distant blurred together voices, then she realised she needed air, coughing she saw bubbles float up as she realised she had floated there in a laying position for longer then she ever thought she could, breaching the surface of the water she gupled down air, rubbing her eye's, cursing the fact that though her left eye was utterly useless unless someone wanted to play "lets see what blurry shape i take when Swiriya looks at me through the ball of nothing she calls an eye" she still felt pain and the sting of saltwater in it, big use that had.
"Yawne! Im sorry i didn't-" Quickly Ewkiro flocked to her side, placing her hands on Swiriya's chin in the way that she knew Swiriya recognised as 'i got you' it warmed Swiriya's heart, filling it to the brim in a way she couldn't even call bad, Swiriya looked into Ewkiro's eyes as well as she could, again mesmerised at the swirling pools of colour.
"Riya?" Ewkiro called out again, confused as to why her mate was just looking at her.
"I love you so much, you have not left my mind since the moment your basket fell to my feet" she whispered, the cringiness of the comment lost on her until she saw the crooked look on Ewkiro's face.
"What?" Ewkiro asked.
"What?- no nothing dont worry im fine" Swiriya stood up quickly, leaning down pecking Ewkiro on the cheek, mindless. Ewkiro tensed at the action.
"Did you just-"
"Sorry i wasnt-" Swiriya tried covering her face with her hands, suddenly feeling Ewkiro's cool callous free hands lower them off of her face.
"No, i.. Liked it" Ewkiro smiled, a flush bigger then even Swiriya's covering her face. Swiriya grinned like a madman, suddenly jumping onto Ewkiro, pulling them both underwater, since it was just the shallows even laying down on the sand their heads and upper bodies stuck out from the water, Ewkiro's soaked hair framing her face perfectly and Swiriya's loc's hanging down nearly touching Ewkiro's shoulders, Ewkiro giggled, craning her neck up to give a soft peck on Swiriya's lips.
"By the way, i hear what you said, i love you too" Ewkiro smiled, her eyes squinting and canines poking out from under her lips, Swiriya tried to grin like her too, the constant reminder of what happened during the attack cemented as she felt her lip, which felt like a missing piece of a porcelain vase touch the base of her cracked tooth, but she didn't care, she didn't care and neither did Ewkiro, who didn't even spare a glance to her mangled face, looking up purely at her eyes, not fearing the fact that one looked ghostly and white, her gaze made her face heat up, and her chest feel like a hoard of ikran flying through it, she felt every pulse of her heart, and reminded herself how Ewkiro's heart felt thrumming along with hers through the bond, she wanted to feel that again so much, her tail wrapped around Ewkiros thigh, but it didn't her to wrap far or tight before Swiriya shook her head, eye's crinkling in embarrassment at the thoughts flooding her head, she looked at the vast sea for a distraction.
"Yuey, wana see the Tulkun?" Swiriya prompted, knowing the answer would be positive.
"Sure.." Ewkiro's voice drifted off, coughing and reddening when Swiriya stood up from over her, stretching as she looked for an appropriate place where they could survey the tulkun without interrupting the bonding of brothers and sisters.
"Lets go..uh, there" She pointed to a distant spot in the sea. Looking at Ewkiro, stretching out her hand to help her up.
