Five days later, there still no update to anything on the unknown purple liquid. 
Right now, you were taking Maki to an elementary school in the Prime's alt mode. You couldn't go to work today since the library is temporarily closed because Lisa was out on vacation to visit her family.
Once you parked in front of the school, you could see some little children being guided into the building by the teachers. Maki opens the door and looks at you while clutching onto her pale lilac backpack. 
"Are you going to pick me up later?" She asked in Japanese.
You shook your head, "Not this time, sweetie."
"Hm? Why not?"
"Umm...well..." 
You couldn't tell her, but earlier in the morning, you got a call from Miss Martian that they covert team is in need of assistance. But when you saw the look on your niece's face, you sighed and replied to the girl's question.
"The covert team need more heroes on the field." 
"Do you know what mission?" Maki asked.
"I'm not sure," you paused for a moment before continuing as you smiled, "but I'll come back in one piece."
The black haired girl smiled and hugs you tightly, making you startled because hugging her back. As Maki unwraps her arms around your waist, she gives you a peck on the cheek before exiting the truck. 
"Sayonara, obasan!" She waved, "I'll see you after school!"
Before you could say goodbye to her as well, Maki was already being guided by a teacher as they walked inside the school. You smiled before closing the door as you drove out of the parking lot and into the road. 
Sighing, you began to wonder what covert mission your comrade needs help with as Optimus spoke through the radio.
"I assume you are wondering what mission you'll be taking." 
You nodded, "Yes, but I'm not sure how long this mission is going to take."
Silence began to linger in the air until hearing a buzz from your phone. Taking it out from your sweater pocket, you checked to see Grayson calling and you pressed the green button.
"Yes, what is it?"
"Umm, we have a problem..."
You sighed, "What's the situation?"
"Would fighting a bear wearing a inhibitor collar in an unknown forest be a good description?" 
Eyes narrowing, you grabbed your comm link from the other pocket and placed it in your ear as you asked your AI to navigate Nightwing's location.
Once Kara found your friend's location, you zoomed through the screen as you read the name out loud.
"Griffin Rock...?"
Optimus knew what you said and speeded up to a maximum overdrive. Startled by this sudden move, you looked at the radio with a surprised look.
"What's the hurry, Optimus?" You asked.
"Apologies, Y/n, but there is a faster way to get to Griffin Rock." He replied.
"...Wait, you mean the ground bridge?" 
The Autobot leader didn't reply as the doors to the Autobase opened. Once you and Optimus arrived to the main room, you hurried out of Prime's alt mode and rushed towards the platform.
