"Ouch." Loki choked, practically laying against the floor as he held you, cradling your head in his hand. The impact of your fall had sent him down as well as you as he caught you. You opened your eyes, relaxing as you realised you hadn't actually hit the ground, the rock hard solid against you was actually Loki, not the expensive flooring. You sat up slightly, the shock leaving you a little shaky as you took steadying breaths.
"T-that evil bitch, she tried to kill me." You finally spoke, Loki standing to his feet before helping you up too. Meanwhile, Rose was sprinting down the stairs.
"Loki, are you alright?" She asked worriedly once she reached him. She put her hand on his shoulder as she looked him over.
"Get off of me." He near roared, angrily as he removed her hand from him.
"Loki?" She gulped.
"You almost killed her!" He exclaimed, gesturing to you.
"But she—she pulled my hair." Rose whined as you knitted your brows, silently questioning the audacity of this crazy bitch.
"So you kill her?" Loki shouted.
"Loki, baby please." She tried to soothe, her hands touching his chest. Loki stiffened at the use of the term, jaw clenching as he glanced at you before looking back at Rose.
"Perhaps you should stay in a hotel tonight." He spoke coldly, removing her hands. Huffing, Rose turned towards you, glaring as you smiled at her.
"I should have killed you when I had the CHANCEE!" Rose declared, about to charge at you before Loki grabbed her and began marching her to the front door.
"I guess you'll be staying in the hotel for the foreseeable!" He bellowed, nudging her outside before slamming the door in her face. He took a deep breath before making his way back over to you who was trying to hide their smile at the theatrics. "Are you okay?" He asked, voice a lot calmer now as he searched your expression. You felt a heat rising across your cheeks at his inspection, his eyes meeting yours.
"What's up with her and killing me." You tried to laugh, unable to break the eye contact.
"Y/n, honestly, are you alright?" He asked again, his hand touching your forearm.
"Yeah" you nodded "thanks to you, although I couldn't help but notice the smell of whisky on your breath." You finished, Loki satisfied with your answer.
"Care to join me for a drink?" He offered with a smile as if his girlfriend hadn't just tried to kill you, as if you weren't just moments away from going your separate ways again.
"Lead the way." You answered.
"What are you thinking about?"
Lokis voice pulled you from your thoughts as you brought your glass to your lips, taking another sip of whisky before looking up at the sky, the sun was beginning to set so you and Loki decided to take your alcohol drinking to the conservatory.
"Nothing." You lied, dismissing his question.
"You can speak freely, I know there's something on your mind y/n, I know you." Loki answered, putting his glass down as he focused on you. You took a deep breath, placing your glass down too before turning to him.
"Why did you leave?" You asked bluntly. Loki took a deep breath too, he knew this question would come up eventually.
"I just—I couldn't- I couldn't face it." He answered causing you to scoff.
