We continued walking though Amanda's death affected us alot. Elias and Katie were extremely quiet and the rest of us had no intention of talking too until Thiago broke the silence.
"Just five minutes more", he said but he looked nervous.
Kai nodded, "Can you at least tell who this person is?", Kai asked.
"I told you", Thiago replied, "He's a friend".
Kai rolled his eyes as he continued to wall, "Yeah I didn't know that".
As we passed an alley way I heard and I paused, "Guys-", but I didn't get to finish my sentence as a zombie jumped out and tackled Elias to the ground. 
The zombie but into his arm and even though he had a gun, Elias didn't shoot it or even try fighting against it. He just let it bite him.
"Guys", he spoke in barely a whisper, "Run".
Thiago grabbed my arm and started to run and everyone else did the same no matter how much I yelled at them to go back. Suddenly Thiago stopped infront of a apartment. 
"Forth floor, apartment number eight", he said before opening the door and walking in.
It looked empty even though it did show signs of zombies being in there. We climbed the stairs and came across a hallway looking exactly like the lobby.
I saw door with a bloodied sign which read, "8". I pointed at it and Thiago nodded. Walking up to the door he knocked on it and yelled, "It's me! Open the door!".
It took fives seconds for the door to open and my jaw dropped in shock to see me brother, Greg standing there.
"Alexis what are you doing here?", he asked me surprised.
"What are you doing here?", I repeted his question.
"Oh...umm.....nothing much", he answered before signalling Thiago.
"I thought you were at the military", I said following him in.
"I was", he stopped and turned around to face me, "Not now and stop with the questions".
I rolled my eyes and looked around his apartment. It looked any normal apartment. Except for one thing, there was a picture of my brother with a girl and she looked familiar.
"Who is she?", I asked him sitting on the couch.
"I said no questions!", he yelled which startled me since he normally doesn't yell at me.
I shurgged as my friends entered Greg's apartment and looked around. 
"Thiago let's go", Greg said and grabbed my arm, pulling me off the couch.
"Go where?", I asked as he walked into his bedroom. 
I barely has time to look around the room before he opened a window that leads to the metal fire escape staircase.
"To the rooftop", he told me stepping out.
I gripped my gun and started to climb over but he stopped me, "Leave the guns".
"Why?", I asked but he just glared at me.
So I listened to him and left my gun next to his bed and all the others did the same but Kai shot me a look that possibly said, "I don't trust this guy one bit but since he's your brother....".
I climbed out the window and followed Greg out up the stairs till we came to the roof top. There was a room which was took up more than half of the rooftop and the rooftop's huge. 
He unlocked the door and I saw a science lab. How can this rooftop hold a science lab?  How can Greg have the keys to it? Wasn't he at the military?
"What is this place?", I asked in amazement.
Now all my friends were standing behind me with a look of shock on their faces.
"Follow me", Greg said and led us through the  lab. 
He opened another door which had was an empty room except for a few chairs. He walked in and all of us followed him excpet for Thiago.
"Sit", he commanded and as Kai was going to object I told me to shut up and listen which he did.
But I regretted it as soon as I sat down. Greg bolted out the door and locked us in.
"HEY!", Kai yelled standing up running up to the door, "OPEN THE DOOR!".
No reply.
We all crowded around the door and started banging our fists on the door. What the hell was wrong with Greg? Why did he lock us in here? After a while all of us gave up.
"All of us are stuck in here except for Thiago", Steven spoke.
I nodded and suddenly the picture of the girl in Greg's living room came to my mind. And now I knew why she looked so familiar. 
She was the girl we saw at the store, the first  zombie. I told the others did and we sat in silence thinking.
"Greg was always interested in science and all this time I believed that he was in the military, he was here", I told them.
"And Thiago brought us here intentionally for him", Kai spoke, "He was the only one who didn't come inside the room".
"And the lab we saw", Helen said, "Isn't that how viruses are created?".
"And the girl", Katie spoke, "Must be his girlfriend".
"Meaning", Selena looked at us with a horrified look on her face, "Greg created the virus and tested it on his girlfriend and it went wrong".
"Now we're next", Blake looked at me as he spoke. 
When we put all of it together it seems like it was their plan all along. But why would Greg do it to me?  I'm his own sister. 
"We'll find a way out", I said walking up to the window behind me ( we had only one)
I looked out the window and was disappointed to see that the jumping out wasn't a good idea since we were on the fifteenth floor and the window opens right to the ground.
I sighed and sat in the ground, "I hate him", I muttered just as a ear splitting siren cut through the air.
There seemed to be cameras and speakers around the room. Greg's voice boomed from of the speakers, "No point in yelling there's no one to hear you, the door won't open whatever you do so don't bother and relax before I begin my experiments".
"LET US OUT!", we all yelled in unison but a we heard was laugh.
"Noway, you're my new lab rats".
