Loosely based on a Christmas Carol theme but Serkan only has one ghost as his guide. I changed the timing of the accident to right after the breakup where Eda is back at ArtLife but working under Efe.

The only constant in the hospital room was the beeping of all the machines monitoring the man in the bed. He had been in the comatose state for six weeks following the accident. He had no identification on him when he was pulled from the water, his flotation device saved him from drowning. The fisherman that pulled him out of the water had no idea of where he came from. There was no debris or wreckage from a boat in the area. He was just floating.

They pulled the man from the water and headed for shore. He was barely alive, his pulse low and weak. They warmed him up as best they could until the ambulance arrived to pick him up. At the hospital they tried their best to identify the man but the burns on his hands didn't allow for his fingerprints to be taken. They shuttled him off to surgery to repair the damage to his body and from there to the intensive care unit. The staff was amazed that he made it through the night and again the following day. He remained unresponsive to their commands though and that worried them.

John Doe's wounds healed but he remained in his coma. They moved him to a separate general medical floor where they monitored him and cared for him. The nurses kept him clean and comfortable and the physical therapists came in to move his arms and legs. Still he remained silent. For six very long weeks there was no movement in John. Until one morning his arm moved on its own. His right arm moved, his hand appeared to be writing or drawing. But still John was silent.

Serkan was trapped in a maze. There were voices all around him but he couldn't see anyone talking. The maze would reach out and grab him or pull him, he had to keep walking. Sometimes he slept on the ground but always there was a voice or a cold breeze making him uncomfortable so he got up and walked some more.

He was stumbling, exhausted from walking for days when he came upon a light in the distance. Serkan followed the maze trying to find the light. He had reached the center, a bench was there, a park bench where he could sit and rest. He laid his head back trying to gain the strength to move forward.

"Taking a nap sport?"

Serkan's head came slowly forward, "Alp? Brother?"

"At your service sport. What have you been doing? You look like hell?"

"I don't know. I don't understand where I am. Why I'm here. Am I dead too?"

Alp came over and sat on the bench next to his brother, "Not yet but keep it up and you'll end up that way sooner rather than later."

"Why are you here Alp?"

"Because sport if you don't get your shit together you're going to end up like me but you won't necessarily be in as good of a place as I am."

Serkan got defensive, "I do what I have to do. I don't always like it but I do it."

Alp laughed, "And who cares if you hurt people in the process? You're doing a bang up job sport. So your life is about work and only work these days."

"It's better that way. It's better if I just work. That's what I'm good at."

"What happened to you sport? You used to be such a fun little kid? Remember? I bet you don't how about we go look."

"What do you mean Alp?"

He stood up and held a hand to Serkan, "Come on sport let's go for a walk."

Serkan was just so tired, he really only wanted to sit on the bench but Alp was adamant that he come with him. He reached up and put his hand in Alp's and fell into a hole.
