I am not what happened to me...

A fridge where after payment it feeds you your desired feast.

The vending machine.

An enemy to those who wish for a snack and a friend to those who got the snack

For some reason, the coffee from the machine tasted better and sweeter than the rest. After acing the practicals, Sayako decided to treat herself to a well-deserved reward. But that wasn't on her mind now. Sayako's brace cuffs felt tighter after the exam leading to her ripping out the thing.

She examined them on the table as she sat across from them. Ever since she started training from the internships, her scales became harder and seem to grow out a bit, even cutting through her brace cuffs.

Scales are said to act as shields against attacks, appearing whenever she uses Dragon Chi. Eraserhead nullifying them during the Exam came to mind. She also thought of Kirishima's hardening quirk. Maybe it works the same way? Taking a sip of the canned coffee she turned to the person walking up to her table.

"Tokoyami." Her lips lifted as she greeted him and gestured at the seat.

He nodded with a small smile. "Hisakawa. You did well in your exam." Sitting down he stole a glance at the broken brace cuffs before back to her. "I witnessed your battle against Mr. Aizawa. Your teamwork with Yaoyorozu and Todoroki is commendable."

She spun the ring on her finger. My teamwork huh?

The gate was right there. In front of her. One more step and the exam would be over. Mizu Nagasu never follows someone who has a weak stance, instead choosing the most logical choice to trust in someone who would definitely succeed. Momo was reliable but at that time she was not in a good state of mind so Sayako didn't bother wasting time with her.

But when she saw that gate. There was no voice telling her to move. No urge to continue on. Instead, she turned back choosing to trust her classmates.

Teaming up with her classmates is what summoned that bundle of thrill for the exam and they succeeded. It made her wonder, who is Sayako? She was just the body of Mizu Nagasu. The one behind the hood moving at the will of Mizu. The will to counteract the Hero Commission and the Law to go beyond to save lives.

Maybe Sayako Hisakawa has her own strength.

So when Tokoyami complimented her on their team's plan, she couldn't help but feel a familiar light sensation from their success.

Her lips curled up in pride and she leaned against the chair "Eh. What can I say? The Old man's a softie," She took another sip. "I heard from Midoriya about the plan you had with Asui. I'm glad you worked around your other weak spot. Learning at your own pace really came through huh?"

Tokoyami seemed to fumble a bit before speaking. "I see, so you've noticed my weakness for close combat since our match in the Festival."

"I am very observant."

Todoroki walked towards their table. "Sorry for interrupting. But Recovery Girl wanted to see you, Hisakawa. She's in the monitor room."

She nodded at him before throwing her empty can in the bin with a thunk. With a last glance at Tokoyami, she headed to the door.

The monitor room held footage of any occurrence taking place in the faculty areas. A huge screen stuck on the wall, along with smaller screens around it displaying other angles.
