The upcoming week stretched like chewed gum. For the both of them. But for Wilbur, it was worse. So many people would come to his party, he wasn't even sure if they would fit into his apartment. He had thought about inviting Sunshine to his party multiple times, but every time, he decided that it was just not a good idea. He felt bad about having to reject her offer and he really wanted to meet her. It made him happy to know she thought he was at least nice enough to hang out.

He had made up with Tommy, both of them apologized.

He decided it would be fair if he gave his community just a little more content before the reveal and streamed twice, once Tuesday and once Thursday. On Wednesday, he met up with some people. Hosting a whole party was gonna be exhausting as fuck, so socializing would be a great exercise to prepare for it. He met with Nikki and Jack. With them he could talk for hours and they knew when and when not to be serious about things. They helped him with some organization stuff too. Since it had been a while, they all updated each other on their resent life events.

When talking about his now job, he tried really hard not to make any mentioning of his favorite coworker sound suspicious. Either he didn't notice it or he purposefully ignore the look Nikki and Jack gave each other when her name dropped. What he didn't know was, that every time he talked about her, without exceptions, a brief smile would pass his face. Of course, his two friends picked up on it, how could they not. They had never seen him like this before. He'd gotten lost in his thoughts more than usually.

"How did the others react to you leaving by the way?" Nikki asked. She was the quietest one of them three and more the type of person to listen to conversations and go along than lead them. At least if there were many people. Wilbur was aware of that, since the very beginning when they met on love or host. He appreciated a good listener and disliked it when one interrupted another. Still, Nikki was rather the one to be interrupted and he made it his goal to give her a voice in every conversation. He wanted her to be able to be part of it.

And Jack and him had known each other for so long, he can barely remeber when they met. Jack was reliable. If you needed help, he'd be there in a blink of an eye.

"Most of them were just very surprised, yet supportive. As I had hoped, they didn't make a big deal out of it. Well except for Tom. He needed a bit to realize that I wasn't turning my back on him specifically, but just stepping back from the whole social thing a bit. Plus he was looking into other things a bit too closely. We had a minor fight over it. Nothing drastic. And we made up. " Wil waved with his hand as if trying to scare off some fly that wouldn't leave him alone.

"Sounds just like him, to be honest." Jack agreed. "Just to make, we'll be there on Saturday about half an hour earlier to help set things up. Anything else we can do?"

"No, I think that works. Thanks, guys! You're making this a whole lot easier."
