This chapter is brought to you by one random author on AO3 who is disturbingly similar to me and made me want to write.
Also I'm sick as fuck rn. Like, puking, nausea, congestion, runny nose, a permanent mild headache, coughing fits, you name it.
I don't think I've ever been this sick before.
I wasn't gonna start writing this chapter for a while actually, cause of how sick I am, but like I said at the start. That one random author on AO3 made me want to write

Cole and Kai spent the rest of the week hanging out with Kai's family or just walking around the kingdom. And they even made an official announcement of Cole and Kai engagement.
It was an awkward affair for both Kai and Cole. Kai knows for a fact Nya was laughing at them and Lloyd was making gagging noises in the back.
But at least the citizens were excited.
Anyway, now came the day they were scheduled to leave.
Servants were loading luggage into the carriages and Kai was going to ask Cole something (unfortunately not THAT something though. If you catch my drift)
"Hey, Cole." Kai began.
"Yeah?" Cole responded.
"I was thinking I might like to ride in a carriage with Skyler this time. It's been a while since I've spent any one-on-one time with her and I need to talk to her about something. Alone."
Cole shrugged.
"I don't see why not. There's something I've been meaning to talk to Vania about anyway."
So they climbed into carriages with their respective guards and with a wave to the rest of the Smith family they were off.
About fifteen minutes into the ride Skyler sighed.
"Okay Kai. I've given you a chance. Now I'm just going to ask. What's up?"
Kai blinked.
"What?"
"Kai. You've been nervously glancing at me and back out the window for fifteen minutes. And I know that look. You want to say something." Skyler said with a raised eyebrow.
Kai sighed.
"Yeah, you got me. I'm just not really sure how to say it."
"Kai." Skyler started and placed her hand over his. "I'm here for you. If you need something I want to help."
Kai took a deep breath to stell himself and spit it out.
"I think I might be in love with Cole."
Skyler's eyes widened in surprise.
"Okay... Not really what I expected, but okay. Why are you telling me this and not Cole?"
"I don't know how to tell him and I'm scared he might not feel the same."
"So you're hoping that I, the lesbian, who has never had a single girlfriend anyway, will have advice."
Kai shrugged.
"I dunno. I didn't even realize I loved him until a week ago!"
"I can try to help. But I don't promise anything."
"Thanks Skyler. You're the best." Kai said with a grateful smile.
Skyler smirked
"But not better than Cole, right?" She said with a playful punch.
"Skyler, really. Already?!"
Skyler just smiled and shrugged.
Kai smiled exasperatedly back at her.

Meanwhile, Cole and Vania were engaging in much more casual chatter.
"Ya'know, I'm impressed, Cole. You haven't gushed about Kai once this entire ride." Vania laughed.
"Oh please. Like you're one to talk. You're always talking about how cool Skyler is. 'Skyler's so cool, Skyler's so pretty, Skyler did the funniest thing today'." Cole said in a teasing manner.
"What, I'm not allowed to think other girls are cool?" Vania asked in fake offense.
"And I'm not allowed to be hopelessly in love with my fiance?" Cole shot back.
"Touché."
There was a few moments of silence before Cole spoke again in a quieter manner.
"Do you think Kai will ever love me back?"
Vania's expression softened.
"Oh Cole. I'm sure he will. You're a great guy. I'd be surprised if he doesn't already love you."
"Thanks Vania. You're a good friend."
"It's no problem. But I'm serious. I'd bet money that he'll confess within the next week."
Cole laughed a little.
"Really? How much money are we talking here?"
Vania thought for a moment.
"200 dollars." She said confidently.
"200? You must be very sure he's gonna confess. Do you even have 200 dollars?"
"Well, no. But that's how sure I am. There's no way I'm wrong."
Cole sighed.
"Alright. But I guarantee you aren't getting that money."
"If you wanna think that. But be prepared to own me 200 dollars when I'm right."
They laughed together for a few moments.
"But I'm serious, Cole." Vania began again. "You're a really great guy. There's no way Kai doesn't fall in love with soon, if he hasn't already."
Cole smiled.
"Thanks, Vania. I'm surprised you don't have a girlfriend yet. You're amazing."
"Thanks, Cole."

Okay so this is like waaaaaaayyyy under the word quota, but it's nothing more than filler and maybe a teensy bit of foreshadowing.
But anyway, hope it was enjoyable. This was hard to write due to the fact that I am deathly ill. But I felt like I had to get this out.
