CHAPTER 7

Shehnaaz's POV

Tell me not to do something, I'll do it twice and take pictures!

Sidharth Shukla isn't any less than a mystery, himself. He is calm most of the times, not letting people know about his intentions and his feelings. He is anything but just a businessman.
He is hiding something from the world, which I need to find out.

Right now I am sitting with my new friend Emma and some other colleagues, having our lunch at cafeteria. They were talking about random things while I ignored them, thinking about just one thing.

"Tell me something." I spoke, catching everyone's attention.

"What's the matter with the 60th floor?" I asked casually, sipping my coke. All of them froze and started looking at eachother. I raised my brows at them, confused.

"Slow down, girl." Sophia, the girl whom I met at the reception, whispered to me.

"Nobody talks about that floor." Blake, my other colleague whispered to me.
He is tall and handsome with green eyes and brown hair, a typical British man you can say.

"Why?" I moved my body close to them. He shrugged and said, "It's still a mystery. Some people say,
Mr. Shukla uses that floor for his secret meetings or to keep confidential information hidden from everybody."

"But the most dangerous assumption is, that there's a ghost of a lady named Bianca, who was Mr. Shukla's business partner. They say her ghost is still roaming in that floor. " He paused. I laughed looking at him amusingly.

"Ghost? Seriously?" I asked still controlling my laughter.

"It's true Shehnaaz. There's a rumour that some years ago Mr. Shukla and Bianca went to that floor for some reason and then, she disappeared! No-one found her body or any sign of her existence." Sophia whispered, sweat beads forming on her forehead.

"And from that day whoever has stepped into that floor, the next day you'll find no news of that person. Except Mr. Shukla." Blake finished, gulping down his food.

"Bullshit! I don't believe in these rumours!" I sighed.

"But why only Sidharth Sir is allowed to go there? Why the ghost is not doing anything to him?" Emma asked.

"Nobody knows. These are just rumours." Blake continued eating his food. "Moreover there are guards on that floor, you can't go there if you even try to." He finished.

"Then we shouldn't go there." Emma gave me a look, as if she knew what I was thinking.

"Yes." Sophia agreed.

My soul is screaming at me to go to that mysterious floor now. But I decided to not create any drama on my very first day. I chewed my chicken burger, thinking about the ways to sneak on that floor.

What if I found something, which I can use against him, to stop him from marrying me?

"I know what are you thinking. Drop your plan right now!" Emma spoke beside me.

"Now I am more desperate and more curious." I gave her a mischievous smile.

"Alright, I'll start chanting
Hanuman Chalisa for your safety." She shook her head in disbelief.
