I pop up after two years to throw you guys a new chapter. Yeah. Lmao. Also, this story feels weird to me now that I've read This Bites. The name, mainly.
Cross is a character very dear to me, especially because he's named after a very old OC of mine that I made at least five years ago. (He also had siblings named Christ and Lucifer, by the way, so you can tell he's from all the way in my cringe phase.) Odd Eye has been in the works for a similarly long amount of time, and though it's gone through one major rewrite and I've never penned most of it down, I wish I could someday get far enough to bring all the crewmembers into these pages. It'll still be a while, though.
If anyone's reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience.

11. our time together (is so hard to throw away)
As we encroach the climax of the battle, Visul faces against Elder Yuzen and reminisces on her reason for battle.
Captain cries.

With each step Visul takes, she leaves a single string of white in her path. She sets a finger against the wall, drawing down the same string along her trail. And she hurries her way across the entirety of the library, touching everything on her way.
Captain follows, a few steps away, peeking at her carefully.
Visul finds herself at the window right when someone chucks a flaming blue boulder in, nearly missing her.
Elder Yuzen steps in through the shattered window, and lifts his head to the library, where Visul stands, surrounded by white threads so thick, her web expanded across the mansion.
Elder Yuzen's hand lights with blue flames, and the wood begins to burn.
"...you look like her," he says, simply. "Just like her."
Visul says nothing. She simply sets her eyes straight and resolved, without hesitation in her soul.
