Request - Can I request reader is a first time mother and kayce and the yellowstone make it a good day for her please?

Author's Note - I wanted to get this in before we all finished Mother's Day. I know this day can be hard for some, weird for others, and a blessing too...so to all types/shapes/sizes of mothers, thank you! And for those who don't have or don't want, I see you too. :)

You leaned against the doorframe of the kitchen, dressed in one of Kayce's shirts and a pair of his boxers. Your hair was pulled up and messy, and your eyes were tired but also rested. You had to bite your lip from laughing as you watched your husband and daughter.

Kayce was currently next to the stove, finishing up some eggs for your breakfast spread, or what you hoped was breakfast. Your seven-month-old daughter was sitting in her high chair, watching her daddy carefully. That wasn't new...the little girl was fascinated with her father and every little thing he did.

The little girl babbled after Kayce turned the stove off, cheering when Kayce looked over at her.

"Hush, Magpie," Kayce whispered. "Your Momma is sleeping still and lord knows she needs as much as she can get."

"I resent that," You snorted, making Kayce and your daughter look over at you.

Kayce smiled over at you while you walked over to your daughter who was squirming in her seat, arms held high up towards you. Picking her up, you pressed kisses all over her face, your heart swelling as her giggles filled the kitchen of your home.

"Morning," Kayce was plating breakfast for both of you.

"Good morning," You smiled over at him. "What are you doing?"

"Breakfast," Kayce chuckled. "And if it sucks then I'm sure Gator has something up at the main house."

"I bet it's perfect," You walked over with your daughter. "Isn't Daddy sweet? Cooking me breakfast?"

"Sorry if we woke you," Kayce sat the pan down, leaning over to kiss your cheek.

"I was up," You smiled, your hand resting against Kayce's cheek as you looked down at the plates. "Maybe Maggie might try some eggs?"

"She might," Kayce leaned his head down to his daughter's eyes. The little girl lit up and started huffing, reaching for Kayce. "Come here."

Kayce took her from you while you grabbed both plates and walked to the table. After Kayce poured you some juice he joined you, placing your daughter back in her chair.

"So what does this day hold?" You asked Kayce. He had been mum on his plans with you, only telling you that he would plan everything.

It was your first Mother's Day and it had been a very long time since Kayce had celebrated a Mother's Day with anyone, let alone the mother of his child.

"Well," Kayce tried to feed Maggie a few small bites of eggs, but she wasn't having any of it. "I thought we could go up for a soak in the watering holes by the river?"

"Oh really?" You could almost feel your muscles relaxing at the very thought. "I would love that, Kace."

"I knew you would," Kayce smiled at you.

After breakfast you both dressed to go riding, walking down to the barn you saw John standing there waiting. Your daughter was in your arms, but she get excited when she saw her grandpa.

"Hey little bird," John held out his arms and took Maggie from you. "Ready for some grandpa time?"

"Thanks for watching her," Kayce said, wrapping his arm around your shoulders.
