A large, frozen lake lay bare as the ice covering it shifted ever so slightly, the crystallized water squealing and creaking as it moved.
A tall, blurry figure steps onto the ice and makes his way forward. Halting a few yards away from the shore, he brings his arms up, and grunts as he pushes a saw deep into the ice.
The blades cut easily through the thick layers of ice, his body covered form head to toe in warm animal skin to protect him from the harsh winter.
"Born of cold and winter air and mountain rain combining."
A few of the men, all cutting through the ice, sing loudly as their breaths fog over in the air, all easily moving in sync with eachother.
"This icy force both foul and fair, has a frozen heart worth mining."
They begin to pick away at the ice, digging their tools deeper and deeper until the ice chips away.
"So cut through the heart, cold and clear.."
They work together as they push the blocks of ice forward in the water before stabbing them and pushing them forward.
"Strike for love and strike for fear."
The men slice through the smaller blocks, water splashing onto their skin as they work.
"See the beauty sharp and sheer.."
A small, blond boy walks with an even smaller reindeer, both smiling cheerfully as they share a single carrot, the boy biting into it with a grin.
"Split the ice apart, and break the frozen heart."
They begin to work at a faster pace, their voices loud and proud.
"Watch your step, let it go!"
The boy quickly marched after the workers, smiling as he mimicked their walking rather silly, his reindeer following along with his tongue out.
Three men easily dig their picks into large ice blocks, the boy copying with a smaller one. They haul the peace's out of the water with ease, but the boy was flawed as it slips out of his grasp.
"Beautiful."
"Powerful."
"Dangerous."
