Jade Leywin POV
"YOU'RE A MAGE!?"
Everyone shouts in disbelief
"How.... How is this even possible Lilia is only 6" Tabitha starts questioning
"My baby is a mage!!!" Vincent exclaims while hugging Lilia and lifting her up.
"Jade, what did you do?" mom looks at me suspiciously
"Why do you assume I have anything to do with this?" I ask her in an overly dramatic fashion
Mom just raised an eyebrow at my antics "Because by now I learned that whenever something impossible happens around us you are always involved in some way"
I opened my mouth as I tried to rebuke her statement but I was interrupted by dad.
"HAHAHAHAHA, you can't really deny that Jade, you already did plenty of impossible things"
"Okay fine, I might have helped her in forming her mana core" I said dropping yet another bombshell at them.
""WHAT?!""
"WAAAAHHH"
As everyone's shout scared her Ellie started crying.
Mom started soothing her.
"I think it's time to put her to sleep, let's go back inside after that you can start explaining what you did" mom said as she made her way back to the mansion.

After spending the last couple of hours explaining to everyone how I developed a theory to use my quadra-elemental mana to help someone perceive it and thus manipulate it in order to awaken, the Helsteas had the same reaction they had in the novel when Art started helping Lilia to awaken, not wanting to take advantage of them, especially after everything they did for my family, I turned down all the gifts they tried to gave me and simply asked them, and my parents, to keep this ability of mine a secret as I didn't want to be nagged by doting parents asking me to awaken their children.
While bolstering the number of mages Dicathen had would have been a good thing in order to even the ground with Alacrya, since thanks to the combination of their bigger population and the ridiculous mages to non-mages ratio even excluding their ascenders their army outnumbered ours by quite a lot I had 2 reasons to not do so.
First it was far too late, the war will begin in less than 10 years, accounting for the time needed for them to actually awaken even the older kids would barely reach adulthood, if I had 30/40 years I would have tried but with so little time the difference would be negligible.
Second, while being outnumbered in a war wasn't ideal with a good strategy we could have worked around that and since I know everything Agrona will try I can think about suitable countermeasures, the real problem in the war are retainers and scythes, we need a way to back against them because I just don't see people like Cadell or Dragoth fall with just numbers no matter how many mages we throw at them it'll be useless since against someone like Cadell even white core mages are just cannon fodder.
With this in mind I'll use my time to try and get strong enough to fight them on even ground.
As I pondered about that, one of the spy-golems I sent in the beast glades informed me that it have finally found one of the alacryans camps, while I already planned some ways to kill them without giving away to Agrona that someone on Dicathen knew about his plans I couldn't do that just yet, first I needed to see if they knew about the locations of other camps, it took me 2 years to find just one so looking for them blind was not an option anymore I need information, second I wanted to analyze some of the artifacts they have if I can reverse engineer them, it will help tremendously.
