July 14th, 1975
I could hear the songbirds singing from the inside of the house. The sun hit my eyes, making my vision red. I slowly opened my eyes, only to see Jimmy above me. I smiled.
"Good morning Jimmy."
"Good morning birthday girl."
He slowly got closer to me, and kissed me on the lips. I wriggled my arms free from his grasp, and wrapped them, around his back.
"So, what are we going to do today for your big day love?"
"Well, I am going to be twenty five, right?"
Jimmy nodded his head, making his jet black hair gently touch my cheeks.
"Well, I don't know then."
Jimmy rolled his eyes at me, and leaned closer to me, and whispered.
"Well, maybe, I could do something special."
I looked at his face, his emerald eyes were shimmering with curiosity, and his smile told me that he was excited. I smiled, and twirled his hair in my fingers.
"Well...I guess so."
I smirked at Jimmy, and he grabbed my shoulders, and lifted me up. As we both lay in bed, hand in hand, I looked over at the clock.
It was eight.
"Oh crap!"
I jumped out of bed, and ran over to our dresser. Jimmy quickly sat up in bed.
"What's the matter love?"
I pointed to the clock as I was getting dressed. As I was getting dressed, I heard Jimmy walk over in his bare feet. I just got my feet into the pant leg of my jeans when I felt Jimmy's hand on me. I looked over my shoulder at him.
"What do ya' want?" I smiled at him.
Jimmy smiled and rolled his eyes. "I just wanted you." he whined.
"Jimmy, I have to go to the equestrian center. Hey." I gently punched him on the shoulder. "I promise tonight."
I walked down the hallway, and knocked on Lily's door.
"Lily sweetie, you ready to go see the horsies?!"
I heard her feet come running to the door. I waited for her in the hallway. I smiled when I saw her come out.
"Mommy, mommy! Can we go now?!"
Her baby blue eyes sparkled with joy, her smile filled me with happiness.
"Yes Lily, we can go now."
We both started to walk out the door, when we heard Jimmy come running after us. He quickly picked Lily up, and 'roared' at her. Lily was laughing as Jimmy pretended to be a monster. "Daddy you're not a monster!" Jimmy laughed.
"No? I'm not a monster? Then how come I can do this?"
He lifted Lily high in the air, and started to run around the house. Lily started to laugh and scream at the same time. They then stopped in front of me. We both looked each other in the eyes, and smiled.
"C'mon you, daddy is not a monster, and we have to go sweetie."
Jimmy slowly brought Lily down, and kissed her on the cheek.
"Bye daddy!"
Jimmy waved to Lily as she ran out the front door. I smiled and walked over to Jimmy. "Well, at least you're not a monster in the day." I winked at him, and kissed him on the cheek before I went after Lily.
