The Miami GP was crazy. Somehow the pace was even more better than usual: the car was amazing to drive, to feel under me, to race with. Fast, clean in the corners, manageable- in other words basically perfect.
Even if the track wasn't one of my favorite, mainly for the layout, the weekend itself was amazing, from media day to the race.
Funny interviews together with games with the other drivers. I also had the chance to meet some VIP, such as famous actors and singers, from David Beckham, who unfortunately for my stupid crush, spent the whole weekend between the Mercedes and the RedBull garages, to James Corden, aka my idol! I've always loved his show, above all the carpool karaoke format, that I was used to watch on my Friday nights with my American friends during my semester here.
Talking about them, they flew over for the qualifying and their support was everything I needed to give my best out there. Support given obviously also by the big amount of fans.
Also the weather was amazing, with his hot sun shining all day and some cool wind that helped us freshen up a little bit.
To sum up: everything went smoothly.
Once again my life was all roses and flowers, everything smooth like oil, easy peasy.
Was it also because of the peace between me and Lando? Probably, or maybe mostly- I really have no idea.
Lan <3: hey, very good job out there, I wanted to be closer... of course to overtake you ;) anyway proud of you babe. Are you free tonight?
Our dinner was on Thursday, during these few days Lando has been the best person I could wish for to have around.
Texts every now and then, little gazes every time we walked in the same spot, he even offered me a lunch in the paddock, bringing me- I still don't know how- the best Caesar salad I've ever had in my private room.
But not just these little actions, also a small bouquet of my favorite flowers in my suite the day after our date and little talks every time it was possibile.
Also this text was perfect because it was another proof of how much he was interested in everything we talked about the other night. He was showing in every way possible how much he wanted to make things good. Of course I was trying to keep clear in mind that this was just a temporarily moment, because, after all, he was trying to conquer my trust again, trying to find our peace again.
Everything perfect apart from the fact that tonight I wasn't free.
My friends asked me out as this was our last night together. We planned to spend a few more days in Florida like the old times, but some of them found some issues with their job or university, so we decided to postpone everything and just enjoyed our company for one night out.
Tonight would be our night, with a quick dinner in our favorite fast food -even if Mike wasn't really ok with it- and then partying hard in a local disco.
Was I a fan on discos? Absolutely not, but when Ashley says "let's go", you can't say no if you want to survive.
Before choosing what to wear, as I was already showered, in just a towel in my hotel room, I replied to Lando.
Me: hey, thank you, you're too kind, I'm happy with the result, not gonna lie! But hey, you were great too! However tonight I'm going out for dinner with the guys... did you have any plans?
I opted for a simple black skirt and a black sparkling top, obviously with my so loved Nike at my foot. While I was closing my lucky charms bracelets around my wrists, my phone started to ring with an upcoming call.
