"I don't forgive you because I don't think you should even be sorry." He says with a smile. "I know I pulled away, I was just, I don't know I was just dumb." Jake sighs. "I really like you Y/n, and I would be really dumb if I told myself I didn't, If I told myself that we were just friends knowing that maybe there's something here."

You look up, heat spreading on your cheeks. "I was so scared that you'd hate me, I thought I crossed the line and I read the situation wrong.

Jake shakes his head, "I was the one who made it awkward, so never be sorry." His gaze goes onto your lips and he smiles, "Plus, I think I could go for another one of those kisses."

You smack him lightly, "No, because you lied to me."

Jake gives you his cheesy smile and pulls you closer to him by the waist, "I guess I should apologize then, right?" He jokes. You laugh at his stupid sarcasm as he pecks you quickly on the lips.

That short peck quickly turns into something more passionate, not intense, but passionate. His hands stay on your waist, but his grip got a bit tighter, almost like he's not ready to let you go, but so gently like he doesn't want to hurt you.. He tilts his head slightly deepening the kiss, and your hand travels to his nape. It was a bit of an awkward position, the two of you are seated on the couch, and your bodies are twisted a bit in an uncomfortable way.

You get on his lap, trapping him between you as he sits on the couch. You continue to kiss him, and smile between kisses.

Eventually you pull apart and smile, "I've been waiting to do that." You tell him with a warmth to your cheeks.

"You've been waiting to pounce on me?" Jaake asks, with a bit of cockiness in his tone.

You roll your eyes and sit back down next to him, "Well not when you put it like that."

You take a deep breath and sigh, "So what now?" You ask. "What are we?"

"I'm all in Y/n, I want you." Jake tells you, smiling.

You grab his hand and nod, "I want you too, but I don't think this is something we should tell anybody, at least not yet."

The two of you agreed, no one but the two of you were meant to know, and he was not so officially your boyfriend.

The night was coming to an end  with a bit of cuddling here and there, but most of the night was filled with make out sessions that you should've been having weeks ago.

"I really hated you in the beginning." You tell Jake as the two of you sit on the couch cuddling.

"I guess there really is a thin line between love and hate, partner." Jake tells you, smiling before grabbing the opportunity to kiss you again.
