Chapter 05.
╚═══════

To even his own surprise, Lorenzo is the first one up the following morning, and he has to be careful as he sneaks about the room getting ready. He and Mattheo are once again sharing a room, which seems to be their summer ritual, and Lorenzo doesn't want to wake Mattheo up.

Lorenzo dresses in comfortable clothing that are suitable for him travelling. He has a destination in mind for the day and it's about time that he plucked up the courage to go for a visit. It's been a few summers that he's told himself that he would go for a visit, and has never quite managed it, because he always talks himself out of going in the end.

However, with everything going on at Bellator Manor at the moment, it seems like the perfect time for Lorenzo to slip away for the day. He makes sure to leave a note so he won't worry his parents too much, and he'll accept the consequences of leaving without telling them once he is back.

Lorenzo sneaks across the dark hallway at the top of the stairs, and he makes his way to the familiar bedroom of Hera. Lorenzo gently knocks on the door to wake up Hera. He needs to be quiet enough so that he won't wake up the other guests.

Hera barely has her eyes open when she comes to the door. "Enzo, you better have a really good reason for waking me up at 6am?" Hera barks at the older boy. No one in the manor is awake this early, even the staff won't be awake until 7.

Lorenzo takes a suspicious look around the hallway, to make sure that he isn't being watched. "Get dressed" Lorenzo whispers to Hera. Lorenzo is sure that he could use moral support for the activity that he has planned for the day, and Lorenzo wishes for Hera to be the one that accompanies him.

There are certain parts of himself that he doesn't wish for Mattheo and the others to know about, and this is probably his deepest secret of all. Lorenzo trusts that Hera will help him.

"Dressed? Why?" Hera hisses. Hera wasn't planning on visiting anywhere today, in fact she was supposed to spend the day helping Atlas with the decorations for the Ball on Saturday.

"I want to take you somewhere" Lorenzo tells Hera. "We have to go now before anyone else wakes up. They might try and stop me from sneaking out, and your sister and brother will definitely try and stop you from sneaking out" Lorenzo says.

Hera feels as if she is being invited to run away with Lorenzo. A few months ago Hera wouldn't have even questioned an invitation from Lorenzo, she would have sprinted off willingly. Summer and therapy have changed a few things for Hera, as she does not seem so sure of her feelings anymore.

"I'm going to need a little bit more than..." Hera laughs nervously. Lorenzo could be taking her anywhere.

Lorenzo cuts Hera off. "Do you trust me?" Lorenzo questions Hera. Lorenzo's breath stops as he waits for an answer from Hera. Hera just has to look into Lorenzo's dark eyes to be completely captivated.

"Completely" Hera replies without hesitation. It's herself that Hera doesn't trust.

Everything that Hera felt and experienced last year was while he was under the control of that diary. Hera isn't sure that what she felt was real, or what she thought that Lorenzo felt was real.
