" Mija what's wrong?" Rosalie asked with a raised brow as Emma came stomping out onto the patio the woman sat on with magazine in hand.

" She won't let me use my phone at the table anymore and I'm not allowed to have my location shown for 'safety reasons'." The girl did air quotes with a mocking gesture " Also now I guess I always have to go out with a chaperone unless RC and I are just taking a drive and that can only be in a 10 mile radius – I am 17 years old dammnit, I don't need a babysitter!" She exclaimed clearly frustrated before plopping into the chair next to Rosalie with a huff, crossing her arms over her chest.

Rosalie closed her book with a sigh, setting it aside.

" You know there are reasons she sets those rules..." The woman began turning towards the disgruntled teen " and almost all of those rules are for your safety and I support her in that."

" Yeah I get that but...." Emma shook her head " but not phone at the table? What's up with that?"

" Emma while that wouldn't be my rule and I do see where she's coming from..."

" Oh okay so this is just side against Emma day, okay fine....I don't even know why I came out here to talk to you, I should've known." The girl got up angered by the Hispanic woman's seeming refusal to see her side.

" Emma Lorraine Bell you do not just get up and walk away from me when we are speaking!" Rosalie's voice was sharp and firm, instantly causing the teen to turn back around and murmur a 'sorry' " sit back down."

The teen did as instructed though her eyes stayed away from the woman's gaze, body language tense.

" You need to see it from her perspective...you've been gone all this time and she wants you, your brother's and your Papa to grow together and get close and if you're buried in your phone constantly that isn't going to happen." Rosalie explained resolutely " Even I at times have limited your phone usage so I don't know why this is a big deal..."

" Because Celine is needy with it..." The girl unexpectedly interject, throwing her hands up " ... like I get that she wants us to be close and we are – I mean we hug and kiss and I cuddle up with her and I love her so much but it's like it's not enough and it's this constant pressure to make up time that we can't and I just don't get it." The teen said loudly, exasperated " plus these aren't the rules I'm used to and my whole life has changed and it's a lot to handle can't at least one thing stay the same, I mean damn." The girl ran her hands over her face, fighting back hot tears of anger and frustration.

Rosalie usually would've reprimanded the teenager for the curse words but she could tell the girl was wrestling with a myriad of emotions that she couldn't quite express but could deeply feel leaving her irritated.

" So what I'm hearing is that this isn't about the phone..." Rosalie began after a few moments of thoughtfulness " You're frustrated because you feel like there is pressure to be something you can't?"

The teen bit her bottom lip as a tear spilled down her cheek, arms crossed tightly across her cheek.

" Yeah I guess so." She admitted with a wobbly voice " I can't be her 'little girl' or 'baby'...I'm just not, I'm 17 and I can't give her back those years Momma, no matter how bad she wants them we can't make up the lost time." Emma looked up at Rosalie " I know it makes her so sad...and it makes me sad too because even though obviously I would never give up my life with you and Daddy, I also would've liked to had them too which I know makes no sense but it's true...I feel like we missed so much and she wants to find it but it's not there to find and it's really stressful and hard...I just feel really pressured."
