"Dude!" He grins. "She is so hot. No wonder you ditched me to find out!"

"Yeah," Chie says. "Why doesn't Yu-kun take you to Marukyu Tofu after school?"

"She's at the tofu shop!?" He asks.

"It's her grandmother's," Yukiko explains.

"Oh, sweet!" He smirks. "You better take me, partner."

"I- I will," I mumble.

I slowly take my seat, bouncing my leg; trying to ignore him joining in the gossip about Risette with the girls.

I was only ever kidding myself. He likes girls. He likes a girl. I'm not a girl. I'm not the girl he likes.

Yosuke's POV:

"Dude, dude, dude!" I squeal, tugging at his arm as the final bell sounds. "Come on, come on, come on!"

"Y-yeah, okay," he mutters, tearing himself away from my grip.

"You're a little too excited for this," Chie scoffs.

"You would be if you were me!" I smirk. "Have you seen her!?"

"Yeah, yeah," she groans. "She's beautiful, she's hot, she's perfect, yadda yadda..."

"I mean, you think so, too, right, bro?" I chuckle, nudging Yu's arm.

"H-huh? Uh, yeah..." He taps his foot repeatedly on the ground.

"Are... are you okay?" Yukiko frowns.

"Who, me?" His eyes open wide. "Yeah. Of course."

"Come on," I urge. "There're gonna be a ton of other guys wanting to catch a glimpse!"

"You know she's working, right?" Chie narrows her eyebrows.

"So?" I scoff.

"She's not gonna want to sign autographs in the middle of work."

"I don't want an autograph," I roll my eyes. "I wanna ask her out!"

"You do?" Yu splutters.

"Sorry, dude," I shrug. "I called dibs."

"She's not an object, you know," Chie snaps.

"Besides, you're not really her type," Yukiko says.

"Wha-!? What the hell's that supposed to mean!?" I frown. "You don't know that! I happen to have heard she likes tall guys."

"Yu-kun is taller," she says.

"A-and smooth talkers."

"Yu has that, too," Chie shrugs.

"Well, she likes brunettes, so, you know..."

"Your hair is dyed," Chie scoffs.

"Still counts," I pout. "This could be my chance to finally get a girlfriend! Why aren't you guys supporting me!?"

"So you're over her, then?" Yu says quietly.

"H-huh?"

"Saki."

I bite my lower lip, looking away.

"S-sorry," he mumbles. "I didn't... Uh..."

"Are you sure you're alright, Yu-kun?" Chie asks. "You've been acting kinda... off lately."

"I'm sorry," he swallows hard, his voice shaking.

"Yu-" I begin.

I'm not even mad that he brought up Saki-senpai anymore. I'm more worried about him.
