Hongjoong had been working hard all day, but when he came back to the dorm, he found that he was too tired to do anything but change into his favorite fluffy hoodie and lay down on the couch. Before he knew it, he had fallen asleep, his head slumping against the armrest.
When Hongjoong woke up, he felt groggy and disoriented. It took a moment for him to realize that he wasn't alone. Seonghwa, who had gone out with the other members and come back quietly, was sitting on the couch with the rest of the members, watching a movie. And most surprisingly of all, Hongjoong's head had somehow ended up in Seonghwa's lap while he was sleeping, Seonghwa gently playing with his hair.
Hongjoong was taken aback, but Seonghwa's touch was comforting, and he closed his eyes again, listening to the sound of his friend's voice as he whispered softly under his breath.
"Hey, you're awake," Seonghwa said gently, noticing Hongjoong's affectionate smile.
Hongjoong sat up, feeling embarrassed at having fallen asleep, but his friend's touch had been so comforting he was grateful that he was there to experience it. "Sorry, I must have dozed off," he said, rubbing his eyes.
"It's okay, don't worry about it," Seonghwa replied, smoothing down Hongjoong's hair. "You've been working hard."
Hongjoong nodded silently. He laid back on Seonghwa's lap again, letting his eyes drift closed again. Seonghwa's touch was still on his hair, and Hongjoong felt himself relax even more, letting out a deep sigh.
The other members watched with amusement while Seonghwa continued to play with Hongjoong's hair, making small talk and enjoying each other's company. Feeling his own exhaustion melt, the small leader was thankful to have a comforting and lovely family.
