"I feel the need to endanger myself every so often."

Before running to the battlefield, Aslan, Susan, and Lucy went to the witch's castle and gathered more troops for the war. When they reached the palace, Lucy and Susan quickly jumped off the lion's back.
Lucy soon found Mr Tumnus frozen, mouth open wide in fright. But that was not the worst thing. Narnians started accumulating in the castle, and they captured the moment Oreius' appeared, frozen with his sword in his hands.
Susan looked to the sides, and her eye caught someone familiar: Olivia. Out of all the petrified ones in the castle courtyard, she seemed to be the only one smiling. She held a grin and her arms open wide, embracing death like an old friend.
Lucy was crying in front of the frozen Mr Tumnus. Her sister did not know if she embraced the youngest or remained there, looking at the icy Olivia.
Aslan came to Lucy's aid. He went before the faun and blew his breath in his face. Slowly, the faun was unfreezing. He gasped and went back to normal, almost falling to the ground. Lucy grabbed him before he hit the ground, hugging her cold friend.
Lucy and Mr Tumnus giggled. The girl turned her head to face her sister. "Susan, this is-"
"Mr Tumnus!" Susan cut her sister off, jumping up to hug the faun. But the hug was cut short when she looked at Aslan and nodded toward the frozen girl.
Aslan, Mr. Tumnus, Lucy, and Susan stood before Olivia. Aslan blew his breath, and Olivia unfroze. She almost fell to the ground, but Susan managed to grab her.
"Oh. Cold." Olivia shivered, shaking herself. The girl looked around her and at Aslan in front of her. "You're alive!" She exclaimed, running to hug the great cat.
Aslan chuckled as the girl's arms wrapped around him. "I'm glad to see you too. Come, we must hurry and search the castle. Peter will need everyone we can find."
Olivia widened her eyes in realisation. "The battle. I have to hurry!" Nearby, the girl found a horse that had just been unfrozen.
She whistled, and the horse went towards her. While the animal ran, Olivia climbed on top of him. Olivia got her hands on the reigns and yelled. "I'll rush before! Take care of the frozen!"
Aslan only chuckled as he watched the girl get out of sight.

Peter watched with a sad look as Jadis' troops gained an advantage over the Narnians. Edmund rushed to battle, showing his newly acquired swordsmanship skills. Despite everything, the boy was actually quite good at fighting.
Two gryphons headed towards Jadis: the first one was cut, and the other turned into ice. With a sad thought, Peter admitted defeat.
"Edmund! There's too many! Get the girls and get them home!" Peter yelled at his brother mid-battle.
