Five days. Its been five days since Jungkook left after shaking up Taehyung’s world. Five days since Taehyung has been spending restless nights and days. Breathing as if he wasn't meant to breathe, eating as if it wasn't meant for him, existing just for the sake of his persevered breaths. Nothing more.
He didn't know at first how it felt like to continue just because his heart was alive. Many times in his life he found himself getting close to that feeling, but Jungkook’s hand always prevented him from falling deeper into it. Didn't allow his heart to even touch it. But the only one person who always saved him, would be the one to throw him in that blood consuming ocean of despair, he didn't know.
He couldn't even count how many times he had stared at his phone screen with his tears soaking up his pillow but still gaze fixated at Jungkook’s contact. Many times he found himself only just inches away from pressing the call button under the thick midnight and listen to his voice.
Listen his voice. Just once. Only once.
Jungkook wasn't like that. He knew. He was never the type of person who would've found thrill and satisfaction in bringing pain to other, and especially him. He may not know about how Jungkook felt about him, but he knew one thing.
One thing; that Jungkook would tore himself into million pieces if it was coming with his eyes being happy. He knew it for sure that he would rather surrender to himself and every desire growing inside him just to see his eyes carry the emotion and a peace that could overflow imagination.
He couldn't even think of hurting him. He couldn't.
He never even held grudge of how Taehyung behaved with him in past. Never. He was always the only one person who stayed with him, for him, not for wanting something from him. The only one person who revived the dark days and silent despair.
His eyes were never flaming. Never.
His eyes were always so warm and intense, whenever he stared him that sometimes Taehyung feared that he could read all his thoughts, everything that he felt and thought about him was written over his blue pupils. He wasn't just gaping into his eyes, Taehyung remained scared that he could see stuck in the whirlwind of feelings in his mind.
He could never hurt him. Taehyung knew.
Because, when he didn't hurt him after being yelled by Taehyung, then how could he think of hurting him now? Even then his eyes whenever he stared at Taehyung always took a great hold of Taehyung’s insecurities, always comforted him, didn't ever made him feel miserable. He never allowed Taehyung to feel low whenever he was with him. Never made him realize that he was being with the most famous CEO of Korea.
He was comfort. Someone who provided Taehyung a shelter and a home when he was surrounded with the ripping situations of his life that had him rolling in between the circles where he couldn't found any way out. And then there he was. His door to another life. Another love.
His door to another love. A new one. Jungkook.
Taehyung promised him something which he, himself, knew that he wouldn't be able to fulfill. While standing in front of him, holding his hand with Jungkook loving and warm eyes looking at him especially with that hopeful and pleading gaze, Taehyung couldn’t bring himself to say, No. He couldn't.
He knew he won't be able to come to Jungkook everynight, because everytime he would need Hoseok's assistance. And the eyes which Hoseok always gave him whenever he even asked about Jungkook told him that he would end up making something else in his mind if he told Hoseok to bring him to Jungkook every night.
