The air around us hung with a rumbling anger, a thunderstorm unseen. Not long after Umbridge had pranced off with their brooms and the Slytherins sauntering off, Harry had taken a shaken breath and stormed off. Following behind him Ron ran, his face filled with worry. An understandable one, this had been his first match and already been banned. He must have been devastated.

Slipping past me, Hermione gave me a worried look. Nodding my head towards the two as they stormed off, she nodded in approval giving me an apologetic look before running after them, calling out asking for them to wait for her.

The twins and I stood there watching them until the trio disappeared out of sight from us. Turning back to the boys. I watched as they stood there, their hands balled into tight fists and eyebrows narrowed deeply. For a while the two were silent, which felt odd as we walked back to the castle. Normally they'd always have some sort of joke to play, some idea to bounce off one another, or laugh loudly with each other. Though right now, the two of them grew silent, walking behind me in a deep whisper between the two of them. I hadn't wanted to listen in, or try to interject myself into their conversation, I wanted to give them some space. They were rightfully angry.

When the whispering stopped as we made our way closer to the school, passing by Hagrids Lodge. Fred spoke up, "well, outside of the toad being herself, there's one good thing that's come of today"

"What's that?" I ask, looking forward towards the school.

"Hagrids back"

"What!?" I excitedly asked, turning my head towards the hut.

Sure enough, billowing out of the chimney smoke rose as a golden light shone through the curtains of his hut. Looking towards the twins with excitement, I took a stop forward and halted looking towards them.

Raising his hand, Fred said "we'll catch up with you later, go talk with him."

"Yeah, plus, maybe you could talk to him about Umbridge not allowing you to teach with him and he could say something," George added.

I looked back at the hut and pondered, that had been a good idea. Don't know how much he could say to her, but maybe he could at least say something to her.

"Are you sure you two are ok with that?" I turned back to them.

Smiling, Fred replied "we'll be ok, see you at dinner alright?"

"Alright!"

Turning from them, I went into a dash as I bolted down the hill, my robes billowing around me, my breath puffing out from the cold with every heavy breath I took.

As I made it towards his hut, my chest filled with an overwhelming sense of happiness, I raised my hand and knocked loudly on his door. My chest rose heavily as I tried my best to catch my breath.

Moments later, the heavy door opened revealing the large half giant friend I had known all six years of being here. Hagrid. Without a second thought, I bolted forward and wrapped my arms tightly around him the best I could in a large hug.

Laughing, he placed his heavy arm around me, "well, this is a pleasant surprise, y/n"

Releasing him from the hug, I took a couple steps back and looked up at him. His smile had still been the same all throughout the years, but now he seemed different. His eyes looked all so tired, his face had been covered in multiple bruises and deep gashes.

"What in Merlin's name happened to you, Hagrid?"

He looked around nervously, leaning over towards the window he peeked behind the curtain and looked out the window; his eyes rapidly searching. It was odd. I had never seen him this nervous, let alone anxious.
