**KIRISHIMA'S POV**
It's been a week since the meeting where Rayne unburden herself of her past abuse. I had no idea that happened to her. I mean I saw the scars on her face but I had no idea those people carved the word Monster into her. I felt so bad for her and even felt the pain she must have been through while it was happening but...my feelings for her haven't gone away. It just makes me want to protect her more and make sure she's safe. It makes me love her so much more. She's such a strong person to have gone through so much and still come out like nothing had ever happened to her.
This whole week I've been a bit distracted. I've been thinking about asking Rayne to the Fall Festival but every time I try to ask her my nerves have me backing out. I'm afraid she won't go with me. I sighed as I changed into the training uniform.
"Will you stop sighing Shitty Hair? It's getting on my damn nerves." Bakugou said annoyed as he rolled his eyes.
"Sorry Bakubro. I've just got a lot on my mind."
"Oh for fuck's sake! Why don't you just ask her out already?" He said almost yelling.
"Ask who out?"
"Shitty Hair is infatuated with Rayne and is too chicken shit to ask her out." Bakugou said as he put away his clothes into the locker in front of him.
"Oh well that's nothing new. Just do it man before you miss your chance."
"Wait...you all know that I like Rayne?" I asked looking around the locker room.
"Of course we all know. It's obvious, Kirishima. You're always around her, she's helped you with classes, and you two have been going somewhere 3 times a week so obviously she trusts you. Just don't think about it. Go right up to her and ask her. If you wait too long then someone else will take the chance you didn't."
"Since when have you been an expert on relationships, Dunce Face?" Bakugou said with a raise of one of his eyebrows at Denki's words.
"I'm not an expert! It's kinda common sense."
"Oh like you would know anything about that. You can't even use your quirk without short circuiting." Bakugou chuckled, "But he is right, Red. Just ask her already."
"Woah did Bakugou just agree with me?"
"Alright I will! Right after class is done for the day!" I said with a nod and confidence before leaving the boys changing room.
As soon as I saw Rayne the nervousness I'd been feeling came back. Luckily she didn't see me as she was talking with the girls and waiting for Mr. Aizawa to start our class today.
The day seemed to drag on and on and on but the closer the day got to ending the more nervous I became but this time I'm not backing down. Backing down from anything is unmanly! When the final class of the day ended, I walked with Rayne to her dorm room like always so we could work on our homework together. As soon as her door shut, Rayne gathered up some comfortable clothes and went into the bathroom to change. It gave me a few minutes to collect my thoughts and what I wanted to say. Should I just be casual with asking her out? No I don't think I should just blurt it out. Maybe I can write her a little note while she's in her bathroom and slip it into her bag? No that wouldn't work either. It's likely that she wouldn't see it until tomorrow and I know the guys will be bugging me tomorrow to see if I did it or not.
"Kiri? Kirishima?" Rayne's voice knocked me from my thoughts as she sat down on the bed with her textbook open.
"You say something?"
"I said what part of our homework do you need help on." She said and I quickly picked up my history book and notes.
"History. I get kinda confused with everything."
"Is there something on your mind? I was talking to you for the past 2 minutes and you didn't say a word. You just looked like you wanted to say something." She said slightly cocking her head to the side.
"Actually there is something I want to say."
"What is it?" She asked curiously.
"I uh...I was just wondering if you would like to go to the Fall Festival with me in a couple of weeks?"
"Kiri are you asking me out on a date?" She questioned.
"Yeah. Yeah I am."
"I was uh..I was actually thinking about asking you if you wanted to go with me." She said rubbing the back of her neck.
"Really? Looks like we both think alike."
"Yeah...but I'd love to go with you." She said with a shy smile.
"Great! I can't wait."
"Me either. What goes on at the Fall Festival?" She asked in curiosity.
"Oh it's really fun! There's carnival games, food, vendors. There's gonna be a lot of people so there's probably also gonna be a lot of Pro's there as well. Just to make sure the Villains don't cause any trouble."
"Sounds like a lot of fun. I've never went to something like a festival before." I said with a smile.
"Well you're gonna get that chance now. I can't wait to show you everything!"
"Me too Kiri. So how about we get this homework done?" I said and he nodded his head. We got to work reading the information on each page and filling in our answers. It was almost hard to focus on the homework just thinking about going to the Fall Festival with Kirishima.
