Y/N's POV:
"Daddy!!" Jia shouts, sprinting towards her father with her arms in the air.
Your heart swells as you watch Jimin kneel down before sweeping her up in his arms. Her giggles fill the apartment as he covers her cheeks in kisses, bringing this place a sense of peace and happiness it's been missing the last few days.
"How was she?" you ask Iseul as she wraps you into a hug.
"She was great," she smiles, squeezing you before pulling back. "I don't think she has any idea what's going on. How are you?"
She can see the swollen skin around your eyes and you know she's worried. If she hadn't been here to take care of Jia you're not sure what you would've done. Technically Granny could've taken her but having your mother figure there with you at the station helped you remain calm. You needed her.
"I've been better," you sigh, staring down at your hand in hers. "But I think Jimin and I will be okay. We stopped by his therapist's office and we were able to get a lot off our chests. There's still more to work out but for now at least we can breathe." You glance over and see Jimin being dragged back to Jia's room so she can show him her latest drawings.
"What about his mom?"
"She's staying at a hotel across town. I already know she feels awful for what happened, I just need a little more time."
"I'm really proud of you, [Y/N]," Iseul grins, making your throat tighten. "There's strength in being a kind and forgiving person. If she's truly sorry for what she did, then everything will work out."
"Thank you," you exhale, feeling grateful for her existence. "Are you still able to work tomorrow? I understand if y-"
"I will be there," she chuckles like you're an idiot. "Don't worry about anything work-related. Yoona and I are opening with you in the morning whether you like it or not."
You blink at her a couple of times before huffing out a laugh. Of course she's not going to abandon you. At some point you need to start realizing that you're not alone anymore.
She hugs you again before heading out the door, and you slowly trudge down the hall to Jia's room. You find Jimin sitting on the floor while his daughter struggles to put his short hair in lopsided pigtails. He looks exhausted but content, a small smile on his face as he spends some much needed time with his little girl.
"Mama, do you think Daddy looks pretty?" she beams, placing her hands on her hips proudly once she's done. One of the pigtails is almost on the top of his head while the other is down by his ear.
"He sure does," you giggle, walking towards them and looking at Jimin. "Do you feel pretty?"
"I'm going to fire my hairstylist and hire Jia in his place," he jokes. Jia jumps up and down, clapping her hands together like a kid on Christmas.
"JiJi, what do you want to do today?" you ask her.
She crosses her arms and purses her lips together, thinking hard about your question. "I want to hang out with you and Daddy," she answers, almost making both you and Jimin burst into tears.
"We can do that, Princess," you chuckle, helping Jimin off the floor. "Come on, let's order some pizza and go watch some movies. It's family time."
*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*
The soft patter of raindrops against the window soothes you, making you relax more into Jimin's side. After a full day of movies, food, games, and laughter, you're feeling both drained and content. Jia's fast asleep in her room while you and Jimin are laying in bed, cuddled up to each other without saying a word. But the silence isn't heavy or awkward like before. It's peaceful, and you're enjoying this moment with him.
