"*cough* y/n, please slow down at least a little this bard's legs are fragile." Venti spluttered chasing after you.
(I just realised how weird what venti just said was.... 👀)
"Fragile my ass. Aren't you the god of anemo? fly or something." You said surprised at how much easier to move it was in your Liyue attire than the traveler's outfit.
You tore through the Liyue woods, map flapping in the wind.
Venti was getting whipped by the branches that you had expertly avoided.
You felt the dirt and dust below your feet slowly turn into rock as Mt Aocang came into view.
You sped up even more causing Venti to groan in frustration.
"Y/n! There! The entrance!" He pointed towards the cave.
You finally turned enough to see inside the cave.
"Ah, you've arrived like a sweet song to a bard on a summers night."
You knew those poetics anywhere. Kazuha.
"I gave you your vision kaedehara kazuha, don't make me take it back." Venti said beginning to summon the wind in his palm.
You fumbled with the antidote in your pocket.
"Kazuha where are the others?" You said firmly
"Don't worry, they are safe my darling. Although I can't say the same for your company, I was expecting you to come alone."
Venti pulled his bow out standing side on.
Kazuha was fast taking a slash at Venti, the bard dodged jumping back.
The archon nearly knocked you over as he backed up but that gave you an idea.
"Venti let him get me. I have a plan!" You whisper. He looks hesitant at first but agrees to it.
Venti allows himself to get struck by the anemo and flies back leaving you alone with the inazuman boy.
He approaches you gaze trained on you with his head pointed down.
He looked almost scary.
You fiddled with the antidote prepping it in your pocket.
You breathed deeply before taking a step forward with your arms outstretched, tackling Kazuha in a hug.
"Huh...." He said as you pulled him in.
After a second he dropped his sword and you felt him return the hug.
Catching him off guard, you jabbed him.
He let out a little yelp before you felt his body go limp in your arms.
You kept holding him trying to move him but not wanting to drag him too much.
"Y/n" you heard in the distance.
It was Venti and the others.
"You got him" albedo said smiling slightly.
"Where where you guys?" You said suddenly.
Venti explained that Kazuha had managed to obtain one of those strong incenses from Sumeru (most likely on one of the crux's trips to the dendro nation) and had put the team in a trance and moved them to lure you there but was unaware that you would bring Venti to help.
"Four down one to go" you said happy that this was almost over.
A/n short chapter again, I'm sorry. As you can probably tell from the wonky plot I have lost a lot of motivation for this book so I am going to get around to the rewrite soon and hopefully it will get better.
