Chapter 17

As I am sitting with my other pets, enjoying their company, a girl with long blonde hair catches my attention. She smiles at me and compliments my appearance by saying, "You look beautiful." Her sweet words make me smile, and I return the compliment.

As I am basking in the warmth of our interaction, my eyes suddenly lock onto Sir Alexander, who is standing across the room. I notice a flicker in his expression, and I can't help but feel curious about what he might be thinking.

As he starts walking towards me, I can feel my heart racing with excitement and anticipation. His gaze is intense, and I can't help but get lost in his deep blue eyes, which remind me of the ocean. It feels like his eyes are piercing right through me, and I am powerless to resist their pull.

When he finally reaches me, his expression softens, and I can see a hint of admiration in his eyes. I feel my cheeks flush with warmth as I realize that he is looking at me with a mixture of awe and desire. He doesn't say anything, but his gaze speaks volumes, and I feel like the most beautiful woman in the world under his gaze.

As the music begins to play, I feel a lump forming in my throat, and my nerves start to get the best of me. My heart is racing, and I am trying my best to control my shaking hands. I know that I am not a skilled dancer, but I have to give it my all as I prepare to dance with Sir Alexander.

Sir Alexander extends his hand to me, and I place mine in his, trying not to show how nervous I am. As we move onto the dance floor, I try to remember the steps that I had practiced so diligently with the other pets. However, all the steps seem to escape my mind as I become lost in Sir Alexander's eyes.

We begin to move slowly, and I can feel Sir Alexander's hand on my waist. His touch sends shivers down my spine, but I try to compose myself. I notice that Sir Alexander is looking at me intently, as if he's trying to figure me out.

As I dance with Sir Alexander, I can feel all eyes in the room on us. It's as if time has stopped, and everyone is watching our every move. I can feel the weight of their expectations, and it only adds to my nerves.

I try my best to focus on the dance and not let the pressure get to me, but it's hard to ignore the piercing gazes of both the humans and the vampires around us. They all seem to be looking at us with intense interest, as if we're putting on a show just for them.

I can sense a mix of emotions in the room - curiosity, excitement, and even envy. It's as if everyone wants to be in my place, dancing with Sir Alexander. But as much as I appreciate the attention, it only adds to my anxiety.

I can see the other vampires watching us closely, their eyes filled with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. I know that they are all skilled dancers, and they're probably analyzing our every move.

The humans, on the other hand, seem to be in awe of us. They look at us with a mix of fear and admiration, as if we're some kind of mythical creatures.

I try to concentrate on the dance, but I am stumbling, and I can feel Sir Alexander's grip on me tightening. I feel embarrassed, but I try to hide it with a small smile.

"Youre not very good at this, are you?" Sir Alexander asks, a hint of amusement in his voice.

I feel my face flush with embarrassment, but I manage to reply, "No im not."

Sir Alexander chuckles softly and continues to guide me through the dance. I try to follow his lead, but I can feel my feet tripping over each other. I am so grateful that the dance is a slow one, as it gives me time to compose myself.

"You know, you look very beautiful in that dress" he whispers in my ear, giving my entire body goosebumps.

As the dance comes to an end, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. I'm not the most confident dancer, and I'm just happy that I managed not to embarrass myself too much in front of Alexander. I turn to him with a smile, hoping that he enjoyed our dance together. As I look into his eyes, I see a glint of amusement mixed with something else that I can't quite put my finger on.

For a moment, we stand there, just looking at each other. I can feel my heart racing as I try to read his expression. Then suddenly, his mother calls out to him, and he excuses himself from our dance. As he walks away, I notice a sudden change in his demeanor. The warmth in his eyes disappears, and his face becomes stony and emotionless once again.

Confused and a little hurt by the sudden change in his mood, I stand there wondering if I did something wrong. Was I not supposed to enjoy the dance with him? But before I can dwell on these thoughts for too long, I feel a firm grip on my arm, and I turn to see one of the castle guards looking at me with annoyance and impatience.

"Come on," he says gruffly. "The queen wants to see you."
