Judging by the way she skips as she walks towards the car, she has passed her driver's test. Nadi and Eli come out to meet her.
"I did it! I did it you guys!!" She runs towards them. Eli takes her into her arms and spins her around. Darina can't help but giggle. As Elica spins her around, the careless laughter, the breeze whirling around her, Darina feels as if she's reliving the freedom of childhood.
"You will make my brain go mushy and loony..." She complains but smiling as Eli puts her down. And while trying to settle down from her slight dizziness, Nadi comes throwing herself at her and squishing her into a nearly death inducing hug.
She pecks her lips over and over again. "Congratulations babyyyyyy" Nadi squeals.
"I told you, you could do it!"
Darina smiles bashfully starting to feel shy from all the attention.
"Thank you so much for all your support you guys! And now I think I'm ready for some food!" She laughs.
"Let's go get the licenced girlie some lunch then!" Eli returns the enthusiasm.
The entire ride to brunch is filled with excited chatter about how her test went. Nadi and Darina's excitement shoots up even further when they see Anabela waiting for them by a food cafe. Nadi has the urge to run into her arms when she comes out of the car. She shocks her own body at how excited she is to see her and how much she gravitates towards her. But she calms herself down.
She is in a black pencil skirt, a white shirt with colourful illustrations, black heels, her glasses framing her perfect face as a few strands of her blond hair fall around her. Her red signature lipstick completing her classy and formal look. All three women falter when they walk towards her. Especially when she smiles seeing them approaching.
"Congratulations are in order then judging by your faces?" Her warm voice greets them.
Darina nods her head before blurting out, "I passed my driver's test!" In excitement.
"Well done darling, we all knew you would do it..." She hugs her and her scent wafts through Darina's nostrils. She closes her eyes, feeling her lavender scent calm her.
"Thank you," she pulls away.
"Hi love," she side hugs Eli, who returns her greeting with a "hi mami..."
Saving the best for the last of course. And her ears already red with blush knowing Ana is about to hug her.
"Hi babygirl..." Ana murmurs as they hug each other. "Hi..." Nadi blushes into her embrace. Ana softly rubs her back. They let go and Ana holds her at arms length, smiling as she looks at her. Nadi's entire being is beet red at this moment.
"Stop making her blush and let's go eat," Eli pulls Ana's arm.
"You two are too cute..." Darina laughs at Nadi who is blushing like a furious red tomato. Eli wraps a hand over Darina's shoulder, her other arm around Ana's waist. Nadi is on the other side of Ana and as they walk, she shly and timidly holds her hand. Ana smiles and holds hers just a bit tighter.
"Wouldn't want you to get lost now, little one," she whispers and Nadi finds herself nodding.
"... and they made Dr Mendez the new head of department, it's gonna be a long academic year..." Ana groans.
"Like shoot me in my foot..." She continues.
"Why didn't they make you the hod?" Darina asks.
"Well I don't have a doctorate degree and I'm never having one. I want nothing to do with school ever again!" Ana wipes her mouth.
