Prologue

                                    

                                          
Wildlife was singing over Green Hill as Sonic, who was also the god of darkness Dark Gaia, zoomed around the island collecting rings. He later zooms past Big the Cat, making him spin. "Woah! Uhh....uhh...." Sonic quickly helps Big get back up to his feet. "Sorry Big! Sorry Froggy! Can't chat-gotta go help our friends!" he then explained as he dashed off. Sonic then dives into the ground leaving a hole in his wake.
"No problem Sonic!" Big smiled as he waved off to Sonic as Froggy ribbited on his head. Sonic leaps out of the ground, smiling and laughing in the process.
"Home is where your friends are, as they say, and that's Green Hill." Sonic narrates this as he gives the readers a wink as it flashes back to Amy, Tails, Annabelle, Knuckles, Big, and Froggy all smiling as they have a picnic under a palm tree.
"Where the best beaches," Amy was seen talking to Annabelle, with Sonic looking confused. "Palm trees," Tails was seen flying next to a palm tree talking. "And chili dogs," Sonic was seen lying on the picnic blanket and smiling happily when he sees Big with a huge plate of chili dogs. "Are just the tip of the ice berg."
Tails and Annabelle were shown piloting the Tornado with Knuckles and Amy on board. "We've saved this place millions of times from this doofus," Sonic narrates as Eggman is shown letting out a nefarious laugh.
"And then there's Shadow."  An orange blur was seen as it crashed into a rock, smashing it to pieces. Shadow looks at the destruction with a scow on his face. "It's complicated. More on him later."  Shadow then turns around and dashes off as it shows Sonic and his friends on top of the Loop-de-Loop.
"The fact is, we never loose! Cause when you've got a crew like mine, there's nothing that can stop you!" 
Sonic dashes up a rocky mountain and arrives at the sight of the fight. He stops at the mountain ledge, smiling. "Hey guys! I made it!" Sonic greeted with a smile. "You're late!!!" Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Annabelle, and Rouge say as they all complain.
Eggman hears Sonic's voice and turns around. "Sonic! Or should I say Dark Gaia?" he smirks at his last line, making Sonic mad. "I told you, I DON'T like to be called that!" he snarls. After that, Sonic then laughed and smirked back at him. "Eggman!"
Eggman was surrounded by his robots, as well as Orbot and Cubot, next to a rainbow colored crystal. "Just in time to watch me claim the Paradox Prism and transform your disgustingly green world into something more....." Eggman goes behind the prism. "Me." 
As soon as Eggman laughs again, Sonic opens his mouth and makes a yawning gesture. "Yawn!" He and the others then get into a battle stance as purple flames came from Sonic's hands. "Yeah. I 'yawned' you Eggman."
Eggman then growls in frustration. "CRUSH THEM ALL!" he yells.
The friends then charged at the robots and prepared to smash them all. Sonic spins into one and then burns another one, Annabelle smashes her tails into another bot and shoots another one with her laser, Knuckles punches one, Rouge kicked, Amy smashed with her hammer, and Tails also shot. Sonic prepares to attack some other robots,  but one hits him, causing him to loose some rings. Tails files in and catches Sonic.
"Sonic!"
"Yo Tails!"
Sonic jumps in and lands by Knuckles. "Knuckles! You ok buddy?" he asked using his magic to stop a robot in place before throwing it. "Nothing flusters me Sonic," Knuckles started before grabbing a robot and throwing it as it exploded. "Except when you're late," he finished looking over his shoulder. Sonic was about to reply but ended up smiling as he watched Knuckles run off to fight more bots.
Sonic doesn't see a caterpillar like robot come up behind him as Rouge came in and kicked it away. 
"Hiyah!"
"Thanks Rouge!" Sonic called out to her, waving.
"Don't mention it. Literally," Rouge replied before flying off. 
Amy smashes some robots with her hammer and stops a robot head from rolling fully as flickies flew out of it. Sonic zooms in and casually leans on the head. "Amy!" he replied.
 "Sonic! Where have you been?"
"Got a little sidetracked. The spawn were acting up and I had to get them in shape." Sonic then spins away and dashes into more robots, using his powers to levitate himself next to Annabelle, who destroyed another robot with her laser. "Annie!" Sonic then said tapping her shoulder. She smiled. "There's that face I always love to see," she smiled. Sonic, who was blushing, laughed.
"You're doing a great job with that laser!"
"Thank you! Just got it modified today back at the lab!" She then looked at him. "Why were you late?"
Sonic then sighed as he burnt another robot. "I kind of ran into Shadow toda-"
Annabelle hushed Sonic after hearing this. "Why Shadow? What happened?"
"I'll explain later."
Sonic then winked at Annabelle and gave her a kiss before heading back down to the ground, landing with a pose. "Get that rock out of the ground!" Eggman yelled as driller robots proceeded to drill away the base of the Paradox Prism. Then more they drilled, the more power that came out of the prism. Eggman growled as he jumped into a smaller version of the Egg Dragoon. "You want something done, you do it yourself."
"Sonic, we don't know what the prism is capable of, be careful," Tails warned Sonic.
"If Eggman wants it, then it can't be good!" Amy added as she hammered another bot. Sonic began running towards the prism. "Got it!" he shouted.
Eggman then grabs the prism, laughing as he began to pull it out. Electricity surrounds the hand of the bot as Sonic ran closer and closer. "Step away from the rock, Egghead!" he shouts.
"Not this time you fool," Eggman snarls.
As Sonic sped towards the prism, Annabelle noticed that something was up. "Sonic! Don't do what I think you're gonna do! Something is up!"
Eggman grins as Sonic spin dashes towards him. Electricity started going like crazy around the prism. "Sonic, wait!!" Tails shouted.
A weird aura began to glow under the prism as Sonic prepared to spin dash into it as everyone shouted: "SONIC! NO!!"
It was too late. Sonic had shattered the Paradox Prism, sending his friends flying back into a barrage of colors. Annabelle looked at Sonic one more time before closing her eyes. Everything then goes black.
