Award shows were never a problem for Ateez. They always enjoyed it, all eight of them. But this time something felt different for Jongho. He couldn't bring himself to tell someone because it wasn't a big problem. He just had to sing and dance. After he was free. Well, no. He was extremely nervous. Jongho was pacing in the corridor. Trying to slow his nerves.
"Everythings going to be ok. Everythings going to be ok" he mumbled quietly. To himself mostly. Taking one last breath and entering the dressing room, he saw everyone dressed and ready.
"Come here Jongho" Hongjoong called. Jongho walked to the circle, they did their move. Now ready to perform.

The performance was a blur. The maknae thinking about his next step for two songs, which left him exhausted. As they all sat down for a bit, he excused himself to the bathroom. Saying he will join them after. Finding the bathroom fast and going inside a stall. He sat on the toilet. Taking deep breaths to stop his eyes from watering. The thing is he did a mistake. A small one which no one noticed yet felt so big. Biting his lip to stop the tears he wiped his watery eyes and got out. As he washed his hands the other stall opened. Jeongin washed his hands too. As he was taking a paper he looked at Jongho closely.
"Are you ok" he asked. Coming closer to look at Jongho. Jongho nodded. Not wanting to cry infront of him.
"Are you sure" Jeongin asked again. Jongho looked down. His eyes watering again.
"Hey, hey it's ok" Jeongin said quickly. Jongho was silent. Sniffling quietly. He definitely didn't expect Jeongin to hug him right then.
"You were amazing there, you know. Made everyone excited" he said softly.
"But I made a mistake" Jongho whispered. Not being able to hold the tears in anymore.
"I didn't hear any mistake. Really" Jeongin said. Pulling back and smiling at Jongho. A gummy smile appeared on Jonghos face when Jeongin did that.
"Hm. Thanks" he said shyly. Wiping the tears.
"No problem" Jeongin said. Smiling more. "Let's go" he offered his hand. Jongho held his hand and they walked to the seats. Relieved that it wasn't as big as he thought.
