11. Unfinished Business

"30 at least. You're not happy? This is the third battle in a row that we've won."

"Jack, I know. I... We're running out of space and supplies. And now with all those new people, I just... don't know how we're gonna take care of everybody."

There was a rustling in the woods nearby, and Mary instantly drew her gun and aimed it at a man with raised arms.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you," Jakob said.

"What is it, Jakob?" Mary asked.

"Just got word from the eyes outside Michael's fortress."

"And?"

"They're saying the angels, they're leaving."

"Why would they leave?" Jack and Seylah wondered.

MOTEL ROOM

Sam was bandaging the wound on Gabriel's side. "All right, this is gonna hurt a little bit."

"A little?" Gabriel repeated.

"How'd you know we were here?" Dean asked.

"Come on. I felt your witch's tracking spell the second she laid it on me. Tasted like haggis."

Sam frowned. "So now you're in trouble?"

"What gave you that idea?"

"You show up on our doorstep, bleeding like a stuck pig," Dean deadpanned.

"This? Eh, you know, you... roll into town for a little R&R, stumble into the wrong poker game, take a guy's money, his wife... things get messy."

"You're trying to tell us you came here for R&R?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, this isn't exactly the Riviera," Dean replied.

"I know, right? Huh. Yeah, so anyway, um... I don't suppose you guys have any more of my grace laying around, right? 'Cause, uh, the tank's a little low," Gabriel told them.

"Oh, did you drain it killing Asmodeus?"

"And ditching you. It'll recharge. Eventually. But, uh, until then..."

"Whatever we didn't use on you, we used to open up a rift."

"Cool. Superdupes. Okay. Well, uh, in that case, gentlemen, I must bid you a fond adi-" He tried to stand and clutched his injured side and cried in pain. "Ohh! Yeah, nope. Maybe after a... little siesta." He flopped over onto the sofa. "Whoa. Aw. Aw, crap."

ALLEY IN COLORADO

"Died as he lived -- side by side with the bottle." Sleipnir picked up Fenrir's bottle and threw it away while he ate an apple.

"So little respect for our brother," Narfi replied.

"Well, at least he got a few licks in before the shivving."

Narfi touched a finger to blood spatter on the ground and tasted it. "This is archangel blood."

"Better call father."

APOCALYPSE WORLD

A flyover of the original location with the giant angel blades from 12.23, zooming into the church where Mary, Seylah and Jack had once been held prisoner, but seemed abandoned. Jack opened his eyes. The flyover was his vision or dream, and he was sitting around a fire in his camp, with a group of rebels.

"It's all empty," Jack informed.

"You're sure?" Mary and Seylah asked.

"There are a few angels guarding the perimeter, but inside... they're gone."
