A/N: Do you guys like the pictures? It helps me keep a visual record of what is happening and lots of times they are images I use for inspiration. Just curious.
Meereen
A great fleet of ships is in the harbor of Meereen and they are launching flaming projectiles at the city and the Great Pyramid, setting them on fire.
In the council chambers in Daenery's chambers Tyrion, Missandei and Grey Worm meet.
"I was wrong. I admit it." the dwarf says.
"That changes nothing." Missandei points out.
Tyrion begins to make a suggestion. "The Unsullied could mount a defense off the beachhead. If the slavers' forces- -"
"No more talking from you. Your talking gave us this." Grey Worm interrupts.
Tyrion huffs. "And I have acknowledged that. I'm trying..."
"You're trying to tell me what the army should do. You do not know what the army should do." The commander of the Unsullied reminds him.
"All right, what should the army do?" Tyrion demands.
Grey Worm thinks. "We'll not go to the beach. If we go to the beach, the Masters will take the pyramid. The pyramid is the only place in the city we can defend. We stay here."
"And then?" Tyrion asks.
"We wait for them to come to us. Then we fight them." Grey Worm insists.
Something thuds and rattles the roof of the pyramid, the chandeler hanging from the celing rocks and sways. What can only be described as... footsteps can be heard. Everyone looks up. Missandei grabs a knife from a table and stands beside Tyrion while Grey Worm and the Unsullied form up in front of the door to the balcony. One Unsullied opens the door and inches out through it, he looks side to side and sees nothing but abruptly he kneels. The rest of the Unsullied follow suit and Daenerys and Alyssays stride purposefully into the room. A dragon screeches and behind them Drogon and Daegear can be seen flying off.
"Well, this is a fine mess." Alyssays quips. "I thought I told you NOT to let the city burn down."
....................................................
As dawn breaks the Masters ships are constantly launching balls of flames at the Great Pyramid and surrounding city. Alyssays and Daenerys watch from the balcony of the Great Pyramid. The queen returns to the interior, to the conference room where Tyrion is waiting. Daenerys approaches him with a unimpressed expression. An explosion occurs outside.
"Despite appearances, I think you'll find the city's on the rise." Tyrion tries to suggest.
Another explosion occurs outside and Tyrion flinches. "Perhaps we should take shelter."
"The city is on the rise?" Daenerys queries.
Tyrion nods. "Meereen is strong. Commerce has returned to the markets. The people are behind you." Another explosion occurs outside. "Well, not all the people, of course. No ruler that ever lived had the support of all the people. But the rebirth of Meereen is the cause of this violence. The Masters cannot let Meereen succeed. Because if Meereen succeeds, a city without slavery, a city without Masters..." Another explosion, this one closer. "...it proves that no one needs a Master."
