Finally night time arrived and it was time for Finn and I to go. As I was walking away from the library, I heard someone call out
"Hey! Excuse me young traveller!" a familiar voice yelled.
I looked around and I was the only one on the street so it was obvious they were talking to me.
I turned to see were the voice was coming from when I saw the librarian that I saved running towards me. Once she got to me, she smiled sweetly.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you but you never got the proper 'thank you' that you deserve. I am Lucy by the way," she said extending her hand to me.
"Oh your welcome, Miss Lucy," I said shaking her hand with a smile. "I'm Spry Mussel and this is Finn."
"Awww, cute wolf, and what an interesting name you have, Spry," she chirped and I blushed lightly.
"Th- thank you Miss Lucy," I stuttered bashfully.
"You can just call me Lucy," she smiled sweetly.
"Lucy...... Anyway, I gotta get going, see you around Lucy," I said turning around about to head off.
"Mmhmm, see you. Ah, wait which inn are you staying at?"
I stopped dead in my tracks, I turned back and gave her a nervous smile, "I, I don't have any money on me to stay at an inn right now," I paused, " I was going to sleep....... at, the, village square," I trailed off embarrassed.
Lucy shook her head in understanding before staring at Finn and I in thought.
"Um Spry," she walked towards me, " would you like to stay with me?" she asked looking kindly into my eyes.
I was speechless. One side of me wanted to but the other was to embarrassed and cautious too.
'Not like a villager could hurt me and I do need a place to stay,' I thought before looking down at Finn and then to her and nodded.
"Okay! Um let me just close up the library," she said, walking towards the library as I followed her.
Time Skip
We stood near a house which I assumed to be Lucy's. She walked towards the spruce door and opened it. 'Well obviously villagers don't have locks, not like they would need one though,' I thought.
"Welcome to my house Spry, and Finn," Lucy said with a closed eye smile as we entered.
It was an average sized house. It was made of spruce planks, logs and stairs with some cobblestones. There was a medium sized living room, which was connected to the kitchen, it was designed with some bookshelves, a blue flowers, some plants. It had one long couch which had a curved that went to the left, a wooden table and a blue carpet. There was a little fireplace where TVs usually would be.
It was one of the most coziest living room I had ever seen.
"Wow!" I looked in awe with starry eyes. "It's beautiful."
"Thank you," she giggled.
Lucy then showed me to my room and told me the layout of the house.
In the kitchen, there was also the dinning and upstairs. There were four rooms upstairs; her room, the bathroom, the guest room, where I'd be staying and the closet.
Once we got to the guest room, I was gushing over how cozy the room was.
"Can this house get any cozier?!" I gushed while she chuckled.
