Chapter 5

                                    

                                          

Eeno is the first to regain consciousness.
She gingerly sits up from her position on....the ground?
She looks around and sees that her surroundings are nothing but green plants and trees, everywhere. 
Her friends all lay on the ground near her, in various positions. 
Eeno notices It's daytime and therefore painfully bright outside.
She looks up into the sky and is met with glaring daylight and humid heat.
Ugh. Why have I done this?
She asks in her head, imitating an accent that sounds nothing like the real thing.
She looks down and takes note that there are trees and nature surrounding them as far as she could see, along with the occasional flower and dandilion.
The grass is a lively green and some strands are too long and making her legs ichy.
Her eyes shift and she notices something crawling.
WHY ME?!
She shrieks when she realizes it's a spider.
She jumps up and starts slapping at her body and dancing around. Sincerely hoping nothing had gotten on her while she slept.
Damn you Neoma! I'll get you for this!
She couldn't help but be upset about having been clobbered without fair warning. 
And then forced to sleep near an unreasonably large spider.
She heard mutterings and the sound of her friends groaning and saw that her screaming had woken them all up.
She gives them an apologetic look and then immediately starts searching for the offending spider once more.
To her horror, or perhaps relief? It has now disappeared.
Eeno takes cautious steps over to her friends and then begins helping them stand up.
Nana continues to lay on the ground as everyone dusts themselves off.
"So I guess we made it here."
Says Nana in a calm tone. Her lashes flutter lazily as she rolls over and swings her feet above her head.
"Yeah. We should probably start by getting someplace ready to sleep for tonight."
Says the ever practical, mother Honako.
Honako looks up to the sky and into the sunlight before raising her hand and covering them from the glare.
Her long black hair flows from the breeze, her bangs fall into her eyes.
"I'm not sure how many hours of daylight we have left, so we need to get started..."
She trails off and the group all stares at Nana.
Who hasn't moved from the ground.
Nana blinks in confusion and then realizes.
She immediately jumps up as her cheeks heat. 
Mid-day is usually when she takes a nap.
Embarrassingly she usually needs at least one nap a day or she becomes exhausted.
But she won't allow that to become a problem for the group.
So she just gives them an apologetic smile and begins to lead the way, walking ahead.
