Kaveh's eyes were stuck on Alhaitham, only feeling anger, but looking at Alhaithams teary face he sometimes felt sorrow. Every time any other feeling than anger and fury entered his heart it was pushed away by the darkness of the voices, the only thing that kept him going. He had felt bad for almost killing Cyno, as his one and only target was Alhaitham, but that too was swallowed up by the void in his heart. He started to get annoyed at Alhaitham blocking his attacks. "Is that really all you got? I remember you fighting better than that." he yelled. Alhaithams eyes stayed focused on him. "I don't want to hurt you." Kaveh could barely hear him as Alhaitham had stopped trying to yell. "Lost your voice already?" Kaveh laughed, coming closer to the ground to hear Alhaitham speak. He noticed Alhaithams eyes were no longer fixated on him, instead they were looking at the ground, while Alhaitham stood still in silence. "You're not already giving up are you? The fun just started!" Kaveh yelled, trying to get movement out of his now enemy. He couldn't help but feel a little worried, this time more than his voices could shut. Kaveh started to look around him. He saw Dottore fighting people who used to be his friends, he seemed to somehow be losing.

Made me a god but couldn't get some power yourself?

"Kaveh," to Kaveh's surprise Alhaitham started speaking again. "why do you wish to kill me so badly?" Alhaithams voice sounded defeated. Kaveh didn't know what to say, he realized he had no specific reason for doing this.. or did he? "He hurt you, he deserves to suffer." the voices woke up again.

But do I want to kill him?

"It's your decision, but you should. If you want him to stop hurting you, that is."

Why would he hurt me any further after this.

"You never know, what if he manipulates you into coming back again? You wouldn't want that, would you?"

But I wouldn't go as far as killing him, I just can't, I can't kill him.

"You're not going to listen to me, fine then, looks like I'll have to do this myself."

Wait what do you mean-

Kaveh felt panicked as he lost control over his entire body, no longer able to speak himself, he could only watch as the voices took over and attempted to kill Alhaitham. He never even got to answer Alhaithams question. He watched in horror as Alhaitham struggled to keep up with the attacks, tears welling up inside Kaveh's eyes. Even though he had no control over his movements anymore, he still managed to cry. Kaveh realized he never wanted any of this, Dottore tricked him into thinking this was a good decision but all the opposite was true. He realized he loved Alhaitham and now he would be killed by his stupidity. His Ana isn't safe, and its his fault. "Why!" Kaveh heard Alhaitham yell out. The voices were pretending to be him. "I successfully became a god, you don't think I wouldn't get revenge on you now?" they said. Kaveh watched the sky turn red.

Am I doing this!?

"you will soon be watching the world decay before your eyes." the voices echoed through Kaveh's mind.

Please stop this, I don't want to do this anymore. Kaveh tried to cry out.

"You signed a contract, I'm only helping you fulfill it." the voices chuckled, still in his mind.

A big ray of light came out from a center of red clouds circling in the sky, it pointed directly at Alhaitham. Kaveh felt a bit relieved when he saw that Candace was shielding him from it. Suddenly attacks came from behind, the wanderer managed to catch up to him and was trying to get Kaveh unconscious without hurting him too bad, as Alhaitham had yelled at him. Kaveh filled with guilt when he watched his body launch the wanderer into a rock nearby. Tighnari was shooting arrows as well, but they were all blocked by a big shield of light. Kaveh tried to cry out to Alhaitham, he wanted to get out of there and he needed help.

Please Haitham, Please hear me!

Chained to the shadows he was unable to reach Alhaitham with his voice, yet he still tried once more before giving up.

I promise I'm not crazy, Please!

"He won't hear you anymore, I suggest you to keep quiet before I shut you up for good." the voices echoed in his mind.

Kaveh gave up, he would be stuck here forever, he would have to watch his Ana die, the person he had always loved, he just realized it too late and now he was stuck here, unable to move even an inch. He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the battlefield. Alhaithams voice stood out most out of all sound. "Kaveh, I know you are in there, somewhere in your heart there is still the same old you!" Alhaitham started. "Please come back, you are my light Kaveh, I love you!" Kaveh's eyes shot open and he saw Alhaitham, there he stood, ready to take on any attack, tears streaming down his cheek, saying the words Kaveh had always wanted to hear. As his body got ready for another attack Kaveh suddenly felt the urge to get out, he fought his way out of the darkness, slowly but surely he was gaining back control of his body. As soon as he felt full control, weakness hit him, he started to feel dizzy and before he could do anything he found himself falling out of the sky, slowly losing consciousness.

When Kaveh woke up he found himself in Alhaithams arms, as his eyes adjusted to the bright daylight he saw Alhaithams worried face, still watery from the tears. When Kaveh's brain processed where he was, his first reflex was hugging Alhaitham. He felt his cheeks turn red as Alhaitham's safe arms surrounded his waist, he didn't notice that all the others were watching from a distance, scarred from battle, but all smiling. When they stopped hugging Kaveh noticed Alhaitham reach for his pockets, he pulled out the feather Kaveh lost a while ago, and put it back in his hair saying, "I'm so glad you're back." Kaveh felt warm inside. "I'm so sorry" he replied, half sobbing, they were tears of both happiness and guilt. "All that matters is that everyone survived, including you." Alhaitham said, Kaveh noticed a small smile on his face. "You're smiling, you're actually smiling-" Kaveh said, full of excitement about this tiny smile. "How could I not, you scared me to death but you came back, alive." Alhaitham chuckled at Kaveh's enthusiasm. Alhaithams face came closer as he whispered, "I love you so much, my light." Kaveh felt their lips touch.

"I love you too, Ana."
