"So, they forced you to show up here too?" I asked stubbornly holding a piece of my shirt in my hands trying to somehow get rid of the awkward silence that was sealed hovering around both of you "You know what, it was just a bad idea, we should split up and never trust our friends' matchmaking ideas again"
"Y-yeah, I agree" the redhead agreed with me and then lazily got up from the bench where we had been sitting for several minutes "Anyway, it was nice meeting you, [Reader]"
The boy didn't even manage to say goodbye to me properly, because I immediately ignored him and moved on, upset not only at myself, but also at Wendy, who thought that setting me up with her boyfriend's friend would be a great idea. Although Wendy and the rest of her bunch of friends were great at this type of entertainment, after all, the long-term boyfriend of one of your friends was the merit of this bunch, now it completely failed and I just made a fool of myself in front of some unknown boy whose name I barely remembered.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed the satin's number deep down, praying she would pick up right away because I had a feeling I was about to explode from all the negativity that was born in me. Strangely, the girl did not answer the first, second and subsequent calls, which multiplied every minute, which irritated me a bit, she probably didn't pick up because she thought I was panicking again, although it was quite true. I had absolutely no idea what to do with myself, I had never experienced a situation like this before, so I was a bit confused.
'Sweets are always a great way to kill stress and of course time' I thought counting the money to see if I had enough to buy some cake or other piece of confectionery.
All the candy stores in South Park were kitsch and most likely I will have a stomachache after pseudo sweets filled with unnecessary chemicals, but it's nothing. I had no other choice, after all, I'm not going to some bigger city now to taste real fondant. I looked at various cakes and cookies, despite their simplicity, they looked delicious. I had one in particular, a chocolate cake. I had started to pull out my wallet and say my order when a familiar male voice overtook me. I looked to the source of the sound and saw boy I just separated from."[Reader]?" Kyle asked quite surprised, so was I, I didn't expect to meet him here.
"You took my cake..." I whispered loud enough for the redhead to hear.
"We can share it if you want, of course" the teenager laughed awkwardly and then wandered to the nearest table, so I decided to follow him. I didn't like the idea of sharing, but what could I do about it? Absolutely nothing, so I decided to accept the offer.
After a while, the waitress came with a brown cake covered with icing and sprinkles, Kyle immediately cut the cake in half and gave me half, which I gladly took. I began to eat the cake with pleasure, ignoring all attempts of the redhead to talk with me, in the end, I didn't feel like talking at all. When I finally finished eating, I rummaged wildly in my purse for my small, black wallet.
