It was a Sunday morning. Shu left the house early to eat breakfast at a cafe. He also has a list of groceries he needs to buy. Shu's mother would buy groceries with Shu, but she got a cold. So she asked Shu to help her today. Shu agreed.
Shu reached the cafe. He sat on a seat and looked at the menu given by the waiter, who was now busy with other customers.
Shu took a few minutes to decide what to get. He ordered a delicious fruit pancake and a glass of fresh milk as a drink. He called the waiter and told him his order. The waiter nodded. He took the menu and left.
About 15 minutes later, Shu's breakfast came. The waiter placed the pancake and fresh milk down on the table. He glanced at Shu and asked if Shu needed anything else. Shu shook his head and thanked the waiter. The waiter smiled. He then left Shu alone as he disappeared into the kitchen.
Shu took the first bite. His eyes sparkled as he tasted the honey. The fruit complimented the syrup as they balanced each other's flavours.
Shu ate his breakfast joyfully. He wiped his mouth with a tissue, then went to the counter to pay. Once Shu paid, he left the cafe and headed to the supermarket.
"Hmm... let's see," Shu talked to himself as he checked the list.
Shu reached the supermarket. He is currently in the cereal aisle.
"Cornflakes, huh..."
Shu glanced over the shelves. His eyes settled on a box that had a giant 'cornflakes' word on it. Shu observed the box. He looked at the information and the expiry date on the box's backside. He then picked the one he thought was best and put it in his cart.
An hour later, Shu was done grocery shopping. He was on his way back home when he bumped into Ike.
"Yo, Shu!!" Ike called out.
"Hey, Ike! What's up?"
"Nothing much, you?"
"I'm fine. On my way back home to deliver these."
Ike's eyes lowered to the groceries Shu was holding. His eyes widened, "Woah! That's a lot of groceries, my dude. Need some help?"
Shu giggled and shook his head, "I can manage, thanks. What about you?"
"Huh?"
"I mean, you're out. Any plans?"
"Oh- I'm on my way to Mysta's. He said he wanted to do some... baking..."
"Oh? Well then, good luck."
"Yeah... I better head off! Who knows if he started without me!"
Shu laughed, "Relax, he'll do fine. He's 20 now!"
Ike sighed, "Yeah, you're right," Ike smiled softly, "Funny how time flies, huh?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, I better get going. See you soon."
Shu nodded, "Say hi to Mysta and Vox for me."
Ike's face became blurred, "Vox?"
"I mean if Vox's there. Say hi to him for me."
"R-right! See you."
"See you."
Ike hurried off. Shu just giggled. He couldn't help but notice how evident Ike's face was. He started strolling to his house.
"I'm home!" Shu yelled as he closed the entrance door. He went to the kitchen and placed the groceries on the breakfast counter. He took out the groceries and sorted them. He poured a glass of warm water, then went upstairs to his mother's room.
