Tension was heavy in the Allen residence. Words had to be thought out carefully. Responses had to be tripled checked. It even felt as if thoughts had to be protected or else. Ava hated that Lucky and Camille were having a sibling spat but she knew it wasn't her place to say anything. She understood Lucky's frustrations and understood why he was big on protecting her from Camille, but she took a liking to Camille.

She may be crazy knowing what she knew but Camille was still a sweetheart, she needed the proper guidance and the right person to love her. Ava felt like she could be that person but Lucky told her time and time again that Camille did not respect her. Ava couldn't see it and still refused to see it. She wasn't ready. It's been twenty-four hours since the fight and Ava was hoping that Lucky would give in and try things again but she knew her husband, Camille had taken it too far.

"Need some help with dat?" Hassan asked, entering the kitchen as Ava worked on an early lunch.

"She doesn't need your help cooking," Lucky spoke, coming from the garage. "

"Just trying to be useful," Hassan held his hands up in mock surrender.

"I got some'n for you to do," Lucky eyed him before glancing at Ava, "I gotta do some work with Kai for two hours, das' okay with you?"

"I'll be okay," she smiled.

"I can stay."

"I'll be fine, I promise."

Debating on it, Lucky agreed, "Do you want me to take lil mama?"

"Only if she wants to go, she can stay with me, I'll be okay, I promise."

"Ard," he was hesitant but wanted to see if she was ready to be alone with the kids.

"I can pack your lunch if you want," she stared at him.

"I would appreciate dat," he stood behind her, "you know I love you, right?" his voice softened.

"And I love you," she leaned into him, "are you going to Dante's party tonight?"

"I'll slide through for him for an hour," he draped his arms around her, "I won't be gone long, ok?"

"I'll be fine, Ramsee... just enjoy yourself, ok?"

"I will, I'ma see if lil mama wanna go," he placed a kiss on her shoulder before stepping back and turning to Hassan, "you coming with me."

Hassan was bemused by how quickly his demeanor changed, "You gon' make me leave against my will?"

Lucky quirked a brow, "you gon' work up here," he repeated before heading into the living room where Zora and the dogs were.

"His ass was just talking all sweet to you... is he always like dat?"

"He seemed perfectly fine to me," Ava shrugged.

"I ain't come up here to get put to work, I came here to get to know my brother more," he muttered.

Ava shook her head but kept her comment to herself.

"Love?" Lucky called.

"Yeah?" Ava glanced at him.

"I'ma take lil mama with us."

"You're leaving me, tinka butt?" Ava pouted at Zora.

"I help daddy, mommy but I come back, I promise,"

"Since you're leaving, can you help me make your lunch?"

Smiling, Zora ran into the kitchen.

"Hey," Camille spoke as she entered the kitchen.
