"Finally, we lost them" Todoroki panted, his arms resting on his knees.
"That took... forever... how many do you... think there were?" Sero said in between breaths.
"There had to be forty at least." Bakugo remarked, wiping sweat from his temple.
They had all managed to get away from the army of infected. It took them a total of two hours to get away from any infected and get out of sight. They were currently resting in a small apartment complex.
Izuku kneeled down, matching the little girls height, ignoring how the others were bickering on the total amount of infected. "Hi, my names Izuku Midoriya, what's yours?"
The girl fidgeted with her fingers, nervously looking up from the ground before she replied. "My names Miya..."
"How old are you Miya?"
"I'm six."
"Do you know where your parents are?"
She shook her head. Izuku got a good look at her. She had dirty blonde hair pulled into messy pigtails, hairclips decorating her bangs, with dazzling green eyes. She wore a dirty long-sleeved hello kitty dress, black leggings that had a few holes in them, pink sneakers and a blue backpack.
"Can I see what's in your backpack?"
She nodded, carefully removing it from her back before handing it over to him. By now the three other males were watching the interaction, although the two in question didn't seem to notice their eyes on them.
Izuku zipped the bag open, the first things he saw were two stuffed toys. A bear and a bunny, they both looked like they had been worn out and played with for years. Miya's eyes seemed to brighten up at the sight of them.
"Who are these two?"
Miya took the bear out carefully. "This is Bumble. Because he's a bear and bears like honey, which is what bee's make." She then took the bunny. "And this is Daisy because that's my favourite flower."
Izuku nodded, smiling softly. "They are both very cute names. Are they friends?"
Miya nodded enthusiastically. "Mhm! They are the best of friends! I've had them since I was three."
"Wow, they must be very good friends of yours."
"Yeah, they are... I love them very much." She said, looking down at both of them before pulling the two to her chest, cuddling them fondly. Izuku continued to look through the bag. A book, notepad and pencils, a water bottle and 2 cans of beans. At the very bottom of the bag there was an envelope. He took it out and opened it, carefully taking out a picture and two letters.
The photo was with Miya and two adults, most likely her parents. The male had pink hair and those dazzling green eyes, as well as two black horns sitting upon his head. The woman in the picture had long blonde hair and blue eyes. Miya was placed in front of the two, all three of them smiling brightly.
The first letter read:
Dear whoever is reading this.
Please take care of our baby. I know there will be a high possibility that we may get separated during all of this, so I just wanted to write a few things down.
Her name is Miya Takahashi. She is six and born on the 18th of March. Her favourite food is pork gyoza and she loves to draw.
Her quirk is invisibility. She can turn invisible at her own will; she can only hold it for 3 minutes though.
Miya's a shy girl but she is an absolute angel. Her favourite colour is red, and she loves Hello Kitty.
