We came back to the dorms to Chan cooking. I always look forward to it. And let me tell you: the food was just as good as ever. We all ate together and went back to our rooms.
Hyunjin and I were looking at cake recipes. Well, It's Jeongin's Birthday tomorrow. The gang divided ourselves for this special birthday mission. Hyunjin and I are making the cake. Minho and Jisung are getting decorations, Chan and Binne are gift wrapping. Since Seungmin and Jeongin share a room, Seungmin will be informing us if Jeongin decides to leave the room, He'll basically engage Jeongin in a conversation to let us prepare the surprise.
I took out my tablet and started looking for the recipe. I know Jeongin's favorite flavor, Chocolate. We called up Jisung to buy a few ingredients that we were in shortage. While waiting for them to come, Hyunjin looked through the ingredients and sighed. 
"Are you planning to make this ?" He asked.
I nodded. "Yep."
He raised his eyebrow. "Why not ask Chan? He knows how to cook better than me."
"Chan's busy with gift wrapping. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I've done this before. I can do this!" I said, puffing myself up.
Hyunjin smiled. "You're right. You are confident about this. But I'd still help you if you wanted me to!"
The doorbell rang and Minho walked in with Jisung. They brought the stuff we needed for the cake. I thanked them and told them to start hanging up the decorations. Hyunjin helped me mix the batter while I made the frosting and put it in the fridge.
"So, what are we making here?" Jisung asked.
"Chocolate Cake," I answered.
Jisung grinned. "Sounds yummy! I love chocolate."
"Me too." Chan, who was on the floor, wrapping the last gift, added. While Jisung and Chan were talking about their favorite chocolates, Hyunjin interrupted them. 
"Guys, let's wrap this up quickly! Jeongin might come out soon and I don't want to spoil anything." I nodded at him and got down to work. I finished everything pretty fast and started putting the cake layers together. After that, I started decorating it with the frosting. 
While I was doing that, Hyunjin was finishing his part by preparing the cake toppings. Jisung and Chan also finished their jobs and we all sat down in exhaustion. Now It's time to go to his room and surprise him. It's almost midnight and we texted Seungmin for confirmation. He told us to come quickly as the birthday boy was planning to head to bed.
 We were all behind the door, ready to burst in. I waited for Hyunjin to open the door as I was holding the cake, Jisung and Minho in those weird glasses they got while shopping, Chan and Binnie held a few presents that they had wrapped. 
"Happy birthday, Jeongin!" We all shouted when Hyunjin opened the door. Jeongin jumped as he saw us. His eyes widened, mouth dropped and he gasped.
"What the hell are you guys doing here? How did you get in? Why aren't you at your beds? What is going on?" He asked, while Jisung. Minho and Seungmin were pulling him out of the room.
"Surpriiiiseee! Happy birrrthdayyy!!" We all shouted again.
He stared at us, dumbfounded. "No way..." He whispered. Then he spun around and hugged us. "We wouldn't miss your birthday for the world," I said, hugging him back.
The room was decorated with balloons and streamers, and I placed the cake in the center of the table. We all sat down and started singing "Happy Birthday" together. After blowing out the candles, Jeongin cut the cake, and we all dug in. Did we spend the rest of the night or morning?
