Olivia
I shifted back when I saw that Annabelle was running away. I noticed that her face darkened when she saw me shift into my wolf. She wasn't prepared at all, but I expected such a reaction. I looked around and saw that there were some keys on the counter. After a while, I found the keys and closed the cafè. She should be grateful to me. I hoped I could explain more, but I guess I will leave the rest to Jack. I shifted back into my wolf and ran through the woods back to the pack house.
Once I got there, I picked up some clothes from a tree and put them on. I entered the pack house and went toward Jack's room. I looked around to see if anyone could see me and then went in. I knew he wasn't there because he had told me he had a task to do, so I decided to wait for him. While I was inside I decided to look around since I was bored. It looked like a rather plain room, in a way it resembled him: cold and featureless. As I went to look in the bathroom I heard someone coming in, so I decided to get out."You took your time!" I said as I walked back into the bedroom, but I stopped when I saw Roman looking at me shocked. I saw several emotions on his face, from confusion to disgust.
"What are you doing here?" I managed to ask."Shouldn't I be the one to ask?" He asked, looking at me angrily, and I remained silent. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to say. "Are you and Jack mates?" He asked.
"What!?" I looked at him confused.
"That's why Jack was angry and wanted to speak with Archer alone. You rejected him, didn't you? You are only interested in becoming Luna and don't take seriously the sacred bond the Moon Goddess decides." He gritted out and I growled at him.
At this point, I was so mad at him. "How dare you? Jack, it's not my mate, and I'm not like your fucking brother?" I shouted at him.
"Don't you fucking dare to badmouth my brother, you know nothing about him?" He growled at me.
I nervously laughed at him. "Really? The last time I checked he was the one that wanted to reject his mate and not me! But it seems his little brother doesn't know him as well as he thinks." I blurted out. I know I shouldn't have done that, but I was so pissed off. He had judged me and accused me of something I would never do or at least never think of doing.
I could tell he was confused and didn't know what I was talking about, and the other jerk who was supposed to be here from the beginning decided to show up."Roman!? What are you doing here?" Jack looked confused between us and I looked away from the guilt.
"Is she telling the truth, Jack?" Roman asked looking at him. "Has Archer found his mate?"
"Olivia!" Jack gritted out narrowing his eyes.
"It's not all my fault. You should have been here." I tried to defend myself. "And Roman we are working on your brother's problem, so instead of getting angry use this energy to help us."
"Now you want to include me? Are you fucking joking?" He said storming out. I guess it was too early for that.
"Roman," Jack called him and wanted to follow him, but I grabbed his arm.
"Let him calm down and we need to talk," I told him nervously. He is not gonna like it.
"What do you want Olivia? I told you about Annabelle, but I didn't expect you to tell everyone about his mate." He gritted out looking at me with such anger.
"I know, I didn't mean to. I got angry, but I know that's not an excuse for being a bitch." I paused and sighed. "About Annabelle, I went to see her, she seems nice," I told him and he growled loudly.
He grabbed my neck and pinned me against the wall. He was so pissed off.
"O-okay, calm down Jack!" I said with pleading eyes. He released me, but his eyes were still black. His jaw was clenched and I could see the vein on his head about to pop out.
"I get you're angry Jack, but I'm still your future Luna and if not, I'm the daughter of the alpha of the Blood Moon Pack," I said seriously and in a cold voice. I was about to use my authority as Luna, but he suddenly calmed down and regained control of his wolf.
"Why did you go there?" He asked me.
"Well, to tell the truth at first I just wanted to see this poor soul that was mated to your alpha," I told him and he snarled at me not liking me disrespecting Archer, but I ignored him. "Then I might accidentally tell her about werewolves, her being Archer's mate and show her my wolf." I blurted out and closed my eyes expecting him to growl at me again, but he stayed silent. I opened them again and stared at him and he looked at me in disbelief.
"You did what?" He almost whispered. I almost feel bad about doing it. This is one of the reasons I shouldn't be a Luna, I'm inconsiderate towards other people's feelings.
"I'm sorry Jack, but she took it pretty well." I tried to reassure him failing.
"Olivia, that wasn't the plan. How I'm supposed to tell Archer? If it was hard for him to forgive me for talking to you, this is something unforgivable. It was his right to talk to her about our world, not yours Olivia." He shouted at the end and began pacing back and forth.
He was right, I had made a mistake.
"I'm sorry," I whispered. I'm not used to apologizing, I always feel embarrassed to admit my mistakes.
He sighed and sat down on the bed.
"If that's all I would like to be alone."I started to fidget because I remembered the keys to the cafè.
"What?" He asked.
"When she left she forgot the keys that she will need to open the cafè tomorrow, so maybe you should bring them to her," I said without looking him in the eye and walked away.
I could hear him keep calling me, but I went straight to my room.
