Moore HouseKai was laying on his bed, listening to music as he read. Ever since he arrived in Beacon Hills, he had been staying with his girlfriend and Arielle since they were basically his second family. His previous home life wasn't the best. His dad was a drunk. His mother was always out of the house, doing whatever. Kai never really knew but he had some idea of what she was doing. He had no siblings. No grandparents. Just one lousy uncle who was on the other side of the planet, living his best life. Alice and Arielle helped him feel what it was like to be a part of a real family. A place full of love and people caring about others. But ever since the Wild Hunt showed up and became a problem, he felt like nothing was the same. He felt like something was missing. And he believed it was this Leo person he was hearing about. The name felt familiar to him, but he didn't know why.
Kai placed his book on his bed before climbing off his bed and opening his door, walking into the hallway. He then stopped and slowly turned his head to a door. Confused, he pulled his headphones off and placed them around his neck, hearing the beat of the music. But as he moved closer to the door, that beat starting getting quieter and quieter. Kai's hand grabbed the door handle before turning it and swinging the door wide open, showing the interior of the mystery room. Kai walked in and looked at the bare room. In the corner was placed a bed with an uncovered mattress. The bedside table had a layer of dust covering the surface. The closet doors were open but the hangers were empty. The drawers were all open, empty with dust covering the painted wood.
Kai didn't know why he was drawn to this room. He didn't know what was so special about an unused room. But he did know that it was important. Why? He had no clue at all. But he just had a feeling this room he was stood in could be helpful. "Watcha doing in here, buddy?" A male voice asked. Kai turned around and saw a middle aged man, leant against the door frame, looking at Kai. "Nothing. Just curious." Kai said. The man smiled before walking away, causing Kai to roll his eyes. That was Nathan. Alice's dad. He recently came back into her and Arielle's life and let's just say that Kai didn't hold much liking towards the man. Neither did Arielle. But, they both put up with him for Alice's sake. Kai looked around the room one last time before putting his headphones back on and walking out of the room slowly, closing the door behind him. He stared at the door for a few moments before walking downstairs.
When he made his way downstairs, he saw Nathan sat watching TV and Arielle reading a book in one of the armchairs. Alice was at Scott's house with Liam and Hayden since they were carrying out a stupid plan. Kai walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water. He closed the fridge, turned around and walked back out of the kitchen. He looked into the living room and saw Nathan staring directly at Kai. Creeped out, Kai quickly made his way back upstairs, rushing into his room. Kai shook his head before climbing back onto his bed and picking up his book, going back to reading. But what he failed to notice was the change in the photo on his nightstand. In the photo, him, Alice and Arielle were all sat in the backyard, drinking lemonade and playing board games.
But there was a clear empty space next to Kai. Almost as if someone was sat there, but was erased from the photo. Even reality itself.
The Next Day ~ Martin House
Lydia was laying on her bed, deep in thought when Natalie appeared at her door. "Still thinking about how to prove the Riemann Hypothesis?" Natalie asked her daughter. "I'm thinking about a dead kid I met in Canaan." Lydia said. "Dead?" Natalie asked confused. "He drowned in 1985." Lydia said. "Okay..." Natalie said. She then walked over and laid next to her daughter. She sighed as she got comfortable. "Go on." Natalie said. "His mom conjured him to fill the void she felt after the Wild Hunt passed through Canaan." Lydia informed Natalie. She then had a thought. "Mom... What if Sheriff Stilinski is filling a void? What if he's filling it with Claudia?" Lydia asked. "You think Claudia's dead? No, I just saw her." Natalie said.
