Chapter XI

                                    

                                          
Life can be really mysterious sometimes. One moment you thought you gonna be jobless and end up having to do more work.
Yan ang tumatakbo sa utak ni Stell ngayon habang nasa front seat ng audience sya; pinapanood at binabantayan ang kanilang CEO, si Felip, sa kanyang first public interview. 
"Never in my wildest dream did I imagine being on stage. To be honest, I'm not really good with public." sagot ni Ken ng matanong kung did he ever expected all of the attention he's getting.
Umabot ng 30 minutes ang interview ni Ken. He was also asked if he's single and he said yes. 
Pagkatapos ng interview at pictorials, lumapit agad si Ken kay Stell. Pinunasan ni Stell ang maliliit na pawis sa mukha ni Ken. Lumabas na sila sa studio at nasa hallways na sila when Ken asked if he could use the CR. Stell waited at some seat.
"Stell??" isang pamilyar na boses ang tumawag sa kanya. Paglingon ni Stell ay nakita niya si Pablo, kasama ang kanyang bagong road manager. "What are you doing here??" tanong ni Pablo. To him, he can't figure out the reason why Stell's here. He literally hired a road manager just so Stell doesn't have to be here.
"Umm.." Bago pa man makasagot si Stell ay dumating si Felip.
"I made him accompany me." sagot ni Felip kay Pablo. Napatingin naman si Pablo sa direksyon ni Felip.
"Why? I lessened his workload and then you added." alalang sabi ni Pablo.
Medyo malakas boses ng dalawa kaya may mga sumulyap na staff. Nabahala si Stell.
"Can we talk about this some other time?" mahinang pakiusap ni Stell. Napansin naman ng dalawa na pinagtitinginan na sila kaya sila pumayag.
Naghiwalay na sila ng landas since may gagawin pa si Pablo sa building while pauwi na sila Felip.
Nang makasakay na si Felip at Stell sa van nila ay binigyan ni Felip ng tubig si Stell. Binuksan ni Stell ito at ibibigay sana kay Felip.
"Drink it. It's for you." simpleng sabi ni Felip. Akala ni Stell ay pinabubuksan niya lang ito.

Today was a crazy day for Stell. Hindi niya alam kung ano dapat maramdaman niya. Glad kasi di siya matatanggal sa trabaho or worried kasi he has to spend more time with Felip.
Napagsunduan nila ni Jao na mag bar since may problema rin raw si Jao.
Jao was already at the bar when Stell arrived. Stell sat beside him and ordered a drink.
"So, ano problema mo?" tanong ni Stell sa bestfriend nya.
"Ghinost ako nung nakameet ko. We were getting along, or atleast I thought we did." sagot ni Jao.
Jao had a lot to say at hesitant pa si Stell na sabihin problema niya. Hindi na nya nasabi kay Jao problema niya kasi pumunta na sa gitna si Jao para sumayaw.
Stell just continued drinking. More. More. and More. Lasing na siya masyado.
Ken went to the bar to drink. Nakita niya si Stell na lasing masyado. Sinubukan niya itong kausapin pero di na sumasagot ng matino. Ilang minuto ay lumapit na si Jao.
"Hala. Anyare kay Stell?" Tumingin siya kay Ken at na recognize niya ito.
"Hi Ken." mahinang sabi ni Jao.
"Hi Jao. Why is he so drunk?" tanong ni Ken. 
"Sabi niya may problema daw sya pero di nya na share kung ano." sagot ni Jao.
Pauwi na sana sila ng may tumawag sa pangalan ni Jao.
"Taneo??" gulat na sagot ni Jao. "What are you doing here? You ghosted me." tuloy ni Jao.
Ken just onserved them as they talked.
"I didn't mean to. Le--" Taneo expressed. 
"What the f*ck is that excuse." Jao inserted.
"Just please.. Let me explain." Taneo begged.

Finally, the both of them calmed down. According to Taneo, they were fishing with his friends when his phone fell into the water. Di niya naman memorize number ni Jao.
In the end, sinabi nalang ni Jao ang address nila kay Ken para mahatid si Stell. Jao will be spending the night with Taneo. 
Tinulungan muna nila si Ken sa pagdala palabas at pinasok sa sasakyan ni Ken bago tuluyan silang umalis.
Ken put on Stell's seatbelt kaya naglapit ang kanilang mukha. Ken stared at him for like a whole minute. To his mind, Stell looked innocent, sweet and caring. He couldn't explain what he was feeling. Like he never felt this attached to anyone before. 
He wanted to kiss him. He wanted to do more. He wanted to take care of him, help him and just be there for Stell. To a still sleeping Stell, he admitted.
"I like you, Stell."

NOTE: Pinalitan ko po name ng bestfriend ni Stell. From Jolo to Jao. Although kay Jao ko naman po talaga binase ang karakter na yon. Hehe
